woke at 6 but went back to sleep until 9, when I was allowed to wake the kids…

I showered and Cyndi ran out to Top Pot Hand Forged Doughnuts for our breakfast… my feather boa was very nice and they enjoyed theirs which included an apple fritter (George’s favourite)… packed up our suitcases and went for a walk… found Old Navy and got a few maxi dresses… tea at Starbucks before getting our luggage and a taxi to the ferry terminal…

sat in the sun and then boarded the Clipper… had a lovely ride to Victoria chatting with our neighbours, one of whom runs a window cleaning business in Courtenay and the kids arranged to have her company come and clean the siding on their house…

our hotel is lovely with two rooms and a little kitchenette… Ron went and picked up the car and we figured out where to go for dinner…

went to a lovely restaurant – Pescatore’s – down the street and had a delicious dinner… walked back and checked out the beautifully lit legislature…

heading to bed as we plan an early departure to the Butchart Gardens…
