saw my physiotherapist recently as I’ve been having trouble with my knee…

I hadn’t seen him for a number of years, but he had helped me a few times previously…

he had me walk and discovered that my hips are currently not even, which had been part of the problem the last time I was there…

the best news was that the issue isn’t my knee, it is my L1…

once he knew the problem he was able to improve the situation by manipulating (as in, pressing down really hard) the appropriate spots on my butt…

I also mentioned that I’ve felt as though my balance was off, which apparently is connected to the whole L1 thing…

now I have exercises to do before I see him again in a week… and my butt is really sore lol…

my housemate recently demonstrated how to change the label maker cartridge and then I got to work…

each of the four hoses connected to the water supply outside now have labels noting what they are for, lol…

I often forget which one is the soaker hose, so this should help me remember 🤪…

I use my immersion blender all the time, particularly when I make smoothies… I have had it for a very long time…

I’ve noticed recently that the blades seem dull and when it finishes, there are still bits of whatever is being blended left…

a few years ago I purchased a new immersion blender, because the old one was making rather odd noises… but it continued working so I put the new one on the shelf…

recently, I dug it out of its box and the cute measuring cup that came with it…

then, sadly, I disposed of the old one…

now I have to see how well I like the way it works🤔…

always such a treat to have Hilda the Gardener in to tidy up the garden;-)…

everything looks neat and tidy when she’s done…

we were laughing about how the gardens looked when she first came… and how she kept taking before and after pictures of her work..

such a huge and delightful difference now…

the plants on the new arch are just taking off…

the morning glories have just begun to climb up along the deck side and I am hoping for many flowers before too long…

the other side has a number of plants growing… cucumbers and beans, including scarlet runners…

I am hoping they might invite the hummingbirds to the garden…

I may have planted too many🤪…

apparently, the virginia creeper is the happiest plant in the garden…

it is growing by leaps and bounds…

along the garage it has been trying to make its way back into the eavestrough and it also thinks it should get to the hot tub, lol…

the baskets were nearly invisible on the other side of the garden…

my housemate was able to get it all back under control in just a few minutes… looks so much better now…

it will probably look like that again in a few weeks😊…

it always amazes me how much better plants do in the place they like…

a perfect example is the coneflower…

previously we had tried one in the bed by the pond and it died off…

last year we planted one along the driveway, beside the chimney… it had two flowers, which made me very happy…

this year I counted at least a dozen blossoms… looking forward to seeing them as they open…

the blossoms are different sizes, so they should open over a period of time;-)…

clearly they like the strong sun in that spot and are very happy 😁

last evening, after supper, my housemate and I went to Dairy Queen, and he treated😊…

sadly, they were out of skor bits so I wasn’t able to get my favourite skor blizzard…

instead I chose a turtle blizzard… bit of a mistake, lol…

I enjoyed the pecans, and the ice cream but the little chocolate half circles (with caramel in them) were just not the least reminiscent of a turtle;-)…

of course I did eat half of it then and finished the second half after supper tonight…

it was a lovely summer treat though…
