the light is returning;-)… this makes me so happy…
this photo was taken at 7:36 Monday morning… makes getting up in the morning much easier…
and this one was at 5:56 pm that afternoon…
seeing the extra light makes the day seem much more pleasant;-)…
looking forward to more light every day…

yesterday morning, I spent a little while wandering around the house and adding in Valentine decorations…
in the living room (adding to the table which I did a few days ago), on the stairs…
in the bathroom, and the den…
on Valentine’s Day, I will make something special for my dinner, not sure what yet… my beloved and I would maybe have had steak and lobster or some special treat…
he was very romantic and always got me a rose and some little present to celebrate the day…
I’m always happy to do a bit of decorating around the house, and then spend time thinking about him on Valentine’s Day… I have been so blessed;-)…

went out for groceries and found three little heart pillows…
which I had to bring home;-)…
and I was also happy to find daffodils and hyacinth;-)… they came home too, lol…
since then I’ve moved them a few times…
everything is now in the den, as I am spending the majority of my time in there, watching the Olympics;-)…

it was a lovely day so we spent some time on the deck, in between Olympic events…
first project was to top up the hot tub and clean all the ice off of it…
next, we emptied, cleaned, and filled the cold tub… a new pump has gone into it to keep the water moving…
it is always amazing how long it takes to fill up tubs, particularly in the cold, lol…
but, the jobs are done;-)…

was reminded of how blessed I am…
once a month cleaners come to give the house a once over..
when I walked into the bedroom after they left I laughed at how lovely the bed looked…
they took all of the cushions in the room and placed them on the bed;-)…

it was presented by the Alzheimer’s Society…

there was a lot of snow on the ground Sunday morning, so I went out to shovel before it got colder…
as I was shovelling the sidewalk, my neighbour from a few doors up the street, came by with his snowblower and blew the driveway clear…
I gave him the two chocolate bars I’d purchased after the last time he did this, which I hadn’t gotten around to getting to him;-)…
while he finished the driveway, I went out back and got it cleared…
looks good everywhere…

on Saturday afternoon, we went to our PTE play, Big Stuff…
as we park underground we always leave our coats in the car which makes sitting in the theatre more comfortable…
as we entered the theatre we were given a card with a pencil in it… most people did respond and the actors collected all of them and dumped them into a couple of boxes…
throughout the performance they connected with some of the people who had responded on the cards…
it was quite delightful and one of our favourite shows;-)…
