had to laugh the other day…

I got a sticker with a bluejay on it in the mail from Nature Conservancy Canada

and the next day, as I was walking outside, I heard a bluejay calling

good timing on the part of NCC, lol…although I won’t put the sticker on the car…

planned to start our errands with lunch at Sushi Cushi, only to discover that they open at 4 on Sundays;-(…

so, we decided to have dinner there instead…

the parking lot was jammed with cars and we wondered if we would get in, but happily, there were tables available…

sometimes we order and pick it up, but eating in is a treat;-)…

as always our food was delicious and we enjoyed every bite…

we finally got the deck shovelled… there is still a bit of snow and ice, but now it should melt more quickly…

we also got the last of the snow off the two chairs on the deck, but I am anticipating that the cushions underneath the covers will be wet…

unfortunately, the cover is still frozen to the deck… but the wind was sure blowing the covers around now that the snow is gone…

I have been loving my new butterfly blanket

it is much lighter than the blanket that I’ve been using for naps in the den…

and although it is lighter it is just as warm and cozy;-)…

I think it is going to be lovely when I’m in my chair on the deck —- soon I hope —- as the weather warms up;-)…

recently someone commented on my Last Object “kleenex”…

I have been using them for about six years and am very happy with them…

it also brought to mind my “paper towels”…

since the beginning of 2020, I have been using old facecloths and napkins instead of paper… there are still a few thing I use actual paper towels for… particularly things like bacon when it cooks in the microwave, lol…

once they get used, they go into a basket in the laundry room and when it is full, into the washer… dried, folded, and returned to the cupboard, then the top of the microwave to be used…

and repeat…
