stopped for gas on the way home and decided to pick up some wings while the tank was getting filled… had been a long day and I thought I deserved a treat… door was closed and locked… so, no wings for me…

got home to see that the power had been off sometime during the day, but was back on…

tried to go onto the Internet to order some supper, only to discover that the laptop wouldn’t connect… again…

then, realized that my phone wasn’t connecting either, sigh…

went upstairs to see if the problem was that the desktop computer needed to be turned back on…

as I walked into the computer room it smelled like burning rubber… computer would not turn on, was hot, and appeared to be emitting the smell… unplugged it…

thought – okay, I will just watch a little TV and then sort this out…

turn on the TV and get “Please wait while system reloads”… waited, nothing reloaded… called my daughter in Ottawa to look up the MTS phone number… can’t believe it wasn’t in my Contacts…

call MTS and get a message saying that the Internet and TVs are experiencing intermittent outages and they are working as fast as they can to fix the problem… reminds me way too much of how my day had gone at work!!!

never mind the dinner issue and the Internet problem and the (likely) dead computer… I have NO TV…. this is serious…

I heat up something from the freezer and eat it on the deck, play solitaire on my phone, top up the pond, water the plants and finally the Internet comes back up on my phone… yay, it’s fixed…

head inside to watch some TV… it still isn’t working…

phone MTS and get the same message…

wifi stops working…

have now turned off the wifi and using 3G to upload my post…

had enough… going to bed and hoping that everything will work then… although I don’t think that’s likely for the computer, lol…
