big girl pants, bloomimg, cactus, flowers, over-watered, pond
this morning I took out the garbage and recycling… wasn’t sure if I would be able to get them out to the back lane because the pond guys had over seeded a good portion of the area and I didn’t want to drive the bins through the dirt, or soil as my mom would say…
then I discover that it has rained/snowed overnight and the lids are frozen shut… took quite an effort to get them open…
once I got back inside I took a few pictures of the cactus as it was blooming… very interesting because it looks very miserable… can’t decide if it is over- or under- watered…
nice to start the day enjoying a few moments with flowers…

if the soil felt dry when you noticed this plant it was too dry and needs water, if the soil was wet then you watered too much, always let the pot drain after watering ! it looks to me it was in a place that was too cold, was it ?
thanks for the suggestions… it is in the window it has lived in for a couple of years so I don’t think it was too cold… and the soil didn’t seem too dry or too wet… will watch it and see what happens…
if that is the case perhaps you can take it out of the pot and look at the roots, there may be insects living in the soil such as vineweavel….
