I was surprised this morning when I looked out the window and spotted the edge of the top portion of the pond…

you can see the small gray spot in front of the waterfall rock…

there is still lots of snow in the backyard, even though every day you can see more has melted… maybe there really is going to be a Spring…

when I walked up the sidewalk tonight I realized that one of the front flower beds was almost completely clear of snow… seemed like just a few days ago the snow was a couple of feet deep…

going to have to clean out the bed soon, although the ground will probably be frozen for some time…
