this morning as I was waiting for my ride I took this picture out the front door…
the sky was much brighter much earlier… very nice…
for a good portion of the day the sun shone through various offices…
tonight when I got home it was light and bright… it was hard to see the TV as the sun streamed through the window…
it is so exciting to see the light lasting longer every day…

the days have been getting just a little bit longer…
tonight I took this picture at 5:08… the sky is still light…
this is very exciting…
I was also happy to see the lights shining through the snow… they are solar so the sun must be getting stronger…
a few days ago the lights were still shining in the morning…
just thinking about it makes me happy…
saw the bunny running in the front street this morning… so cute… I do love seeing them…
been using my SAD light in the mornings on weekdays… think it has made a difference, but really, there is nothing like daylight and sunshine…

all day long at work we were enjoying the sunbeams coming through the windows… just about every time someone walked by they would comment on them…
everyone’s spirits were lifted…
feels like we haven’t had very much sun lately, so it was a lovely treat…

beautiful day… sunny and plus 18 Celsius… what a treat…
luckily I had two meetings away from the office, so got an opportunity to be outside… another treat…
was picked up by my daughter and we seemed to fly to my grandson’s volleyball game… it was a few minutes away from where my doctor’s appointment was…
great to see him play… third treat of the day…
after the appointment I was in a cab and on my way home by 6:20 pm…
made a bit of supper, tidied the kitchen and vegged in front of the TV…
wonderful day…

noticing every day how there is less light… waking up in the dark and needing to turn on the lights to get ready…
the sun is setting around eight so it is dark before you know it… less than thirteen hours of light each day…
the garden is struggling as well, what with the low temperatures… I check as soon as I get outside to see if any morning glories have braved the weather and bloomed…
I can’t see a morning glory without thinking of George counting how many were blooming each morning when I was in hospital for a six week period, and often bringing me a picture… sure do miss him…
hard to see, but this is a picture of some geese flying over first thing… the sound of their honking makes it clear that Fall is coming, lol…
fresh tomato with my chicken, potatoes and roasted garlic tonight… love popping something into the oven and napping while it cooks…
even with a persistent cold, life is good…

can you believe what you can see in this picture…
it is the top of the slate waterfall rock… and it has been completely covered in snow for weeks…
even though it has been a bit cold out, the sun is warm, even hot, when it shines…
every day I can see that the snow has melted in the backyard… of course, there is a lot of it that still needs to melt, lol…
looking at the picture you can see that all the snow on the rail of the deck is gone already… yay…
every time I look at the crocus I imagine the time when I’ll be able to walk outside and see spring flowers blooming…
