got dropped off a little further from home than normal…

so I had a lovely walk in the sunshine…not sure what the temperature was, but right now it is 15 Celsius…

IMG_8844.JPGsome of the bushes still have quite a few leaves… this one had lots of birds flitting in and out… I guess they can still hide here…

spent some time in the hot tub, watching the stars through the trees… now to bed…

another beautiful day… sun shone the whole time…

once again the sun shone all day long… still a big deal after all the overcast and rainy days…

took some pictures of the hibiscus buds this morning on my way to the car… I can’t help myself when I see something lovely in the garden, lol, but that is part of taking the time to enjoy the moment…

the sun shone all day… quite wonderful…

the rain doesn’t appear to have bothered the hibiscus… has lots if new blooms on it…

20140702-204306-74586039.jpglast night I did go outside and watch the half hour of fireworks… really noticed how much the trees have grown… the view is not what it used to be, but still great… the street was completely filled with cars… haven’t had that for many years… maybe there were lots of people at the Park…

this morning I got up to a beautiful day…

it was warm and the sun was shining…

had to take out the garbage and recycling and then took a few minutes to walk around the garden…

the fish were swimming around and the garden looked great…

what a wonderful way to start the day…

sometimes I can forget how special life is and take the time to enjoy it…

later in the day I enjoyed each moment of our yoga class and then spent a wonderful few moments with a colleague as we took five minutes to walk around the outside of the building…

life is very good…

finally a decision has been made about the cushions…

tonight we went to two different Target stores to get the cushions for the rest of the chairs…

going with the green ones…

last night I got this lovely shot of the sun shining on the neighbour’s tree…

had brunch out with friends and then walked home in the sunshine…

wore a light jacket and took a few pictures along the way…

this was the pool that was at the end of the street…

20140406-205125.jpg had to do a bit of fancy footwork to make my way around it, lol…

spent some some cleaning out the last bit of a closet upstairs and I was able to divest myself of a box full of books and other bits and pieces… also cleaned up a corner of the computer room and put my collection of gift bags and tissue paper into the closet… more space in the room, yay…

later in the day the sun was shining into the living room and I got this shot of the couch and cushion glittering…

20140406-205655.jpgmy daughter and her boys came for dinner and we had tacos… the most exciting thing was that the littlest guy had meat on all of his tacos… maybe we are moving out of the no meat phase…

finally, I took this shot of the Japanese Maple, which at Christmas time, didn’t have a single leaf on it…

a beautiful day… had a lovely nap in the warm sunshine this afternoon…

the neighbour had his motorcycle out…

when I was outside, in my bare feet on the deck, putting chemicals in the hot tub, I could hear the snow melting from the garage roof… you can actually see the snow melting away…

had windows open for the first time for a good portion of the day… very nice…

just had a wonderful hot tub… finally the temperature feels like Spring…

wondering when all the snow will be gone…

what a beautiful day…

sun was shining and the snow in the backyard was glittering like diamonds…

when I walked across the kitchen floor, it was cold right up to the sink… about half way into the room from the patio doors… when it’s really cold the floor is cold about a third of the way into the room… bit of a sign, lol…

gorgeous out but really, really cold… just checked the temperature a little while ago…

spent a bit of time in the kitchen because I’ve been working on a project with a deadline and have done nothing anywhere in the house… so, the kitchen was rather a disaster…

finally finished the project, so tomorrow I will spend some time catching up on chores…
