been thinking about technology quite a bit lately…

when it works it makes everything go well… when it doesn’t it makes life so frustrating…

the changes over the last few years have been amazing…

can you even remember when you didn’t have a smartphone… or a laptop and/or tablet…

we purchased our first cell phone when our older daughter was sixteen as she was taking a road trip with a bunch of her friends… we wanted her to be connected if she needed help or had trouble with the van… that phone was large and cumbersome and didn’t work everywhere on the main highway…

and here I am, writing my blog on my iPhone and texting with my daughter at the same time…

earlier my other daughter was sending me pictures from Montreal where they are visiting for a few days…

while we were in a shoe store, in Fargo, North Dakota, the clerk went online and ordered shoes that they didn’t have in the store, and had them delivered to us at the border…

fifteen years ago email was just becoming a new tool… cannot imagine being without it now… and, on the phone, as well as the desktop and laptop and maybe even the tablet…

all of my kids watch movies on the computer…

people complete forms on their home computer and submit them online, or use an iPad when they arrive at the office… I remember trying to decipher handwriting and guessing what a name or phone number was supposed to be…

the internet has changed our lives… not sure if young people know what an encyclopedia is, lol…

I need to remember all the great things that technology helps us with, particularly when some of it might not be working at its best…
