this morning I got some shots of the beautiful diamonds in the snow…

then I spent about two hours on the telephone with MTS (my internet service provider)…

all to do with the hacking of my computer a few weeks ago… my
laptop is still not back and so I decided to use the desktop to pay some bills…

rarely do I use it which meant that all of my favourite sites weren’t on it…

I didn’t remember the URL, or username for my credit card… had to search for the URL for my air miles program…

when I was hacked, the credit union helped me change my username and password right away, while I was at the office… rather stressed, I left that information in a notebook at my desk and have completely forgotten it, sigh…

in the process of finding the URL and username, the website sent me an email…

so, I tried to open my email on the desktop… using the new password that MTS had helped me change… my email wouldn’t accept it…

called and spoke with a lovely young man who reset the password and told me to wait five minutes and enter it… tried that, didn’t work… called again and spent a very long time with another person who gave me a different password which eventually worked but the email still wasn’t working… after he climbed into my computer and downloaded updates it eventually cooperated…

but he clicked something and now all the emails are gone from my phone, sigh… guess if I can’t find that spot I will need to call them back tomorrow…

has taught me that I need to keep a list of my favourite urls and user names… now, where will I put that list…
