good news… my eyes are in good shape… saw the eye doctor this morning… surprised me with a field test… thankfully it came out okay… always nervous when taking one… 

sky was changing every time I came out of a business…

  
met with my finance guy and my investments are doing fine as well…

then off to pick up a few groceries… had a lovely wander around at Costco… didn’t even buy much that wasn’t on my list, lol… finished up at Safeway where I picked up the other items for Thanksgiving dinner on the weekend…

on the drive home the sky changed yet again…

  
at least there was a bit of blue in it…

had a nap after all the groceries were put away, and then made a couple of pita pizzas for dinner…

  
delicious…

now to plan what I will eat tomorrow…

yesterday the clouds were lovely throughout the whole day…

  
stopped at the end of the street on my way to work and got this picture…

  
had an opportunity, at a light, to shoot the sky toward downtown…

  
enjoyed the clouds reflected in one of the buildings on my arrival at the office…

  
view over the new police headquarters…

like the clouds particularly when there is still some blue sky visible, lol… 

and finally, on the drive home, got this picture of the church steeple and sky…

  
sadly I was in some dreadful traffic at the time and had ample opportunity to check out the sky…

not sure why I have been so struck by clouds recently, although we have certainly had more dull overcast days over the last few years… way more than we used to have…

maybe that is why I love the morning glories which look like they are lit with sunlight from within…

what awesome moments today…

  
first thing was the morning glory opening even as the sky was overcast…

while I waited for my ride, got a lovely shot of the sky through the living room window, clearing up…

  
clouds reflected in the coffee table, with my Japanese Maple in the window…

  
a lot of yellow leaves along the edge of the street as I was walking on my way home…

  
going up the street toward the house noticed the colours in the trees… getting lighter… sky is filled with grey and white clouds…

  
just before eight, and after a short period of rain, the sky turned this amazing pink and orange colour…

deck was still wet when I went out and got this picture of the end-of-day morning glory…

  
so happy that I was able to enjoy each of these special sky moments…

went to my oldest grandson’s soccer game last night…

they are nearly done their games and it was nice to get to go to one very close to home…

while there got this shot of some geese on their way over…

  
been trying to get a picture of the geese in flight all summer but just haven’t been able to manage it… I just love the sound and sight of them honking and flying in formation… such a sign of spring and fall for me… still makes me stop and look up when I hear the sound…

half an hour later I was home waiting for my BS friends to arrive and looked out at this beautiful sky… went and got my phone right away and took a few shots and then just stood revelling in the moment…

  
read a comment recently on a friend’s Instagram feed about enjoying the moment, and just got an email from another about being in the moment and how important that is…

all of these things remind me of the importance of enjoying each moment and being in the present… I have been trying to do that for the last few years… always good to get a reminder…

walked home from the grocery store after work…

beautiful evening so I sat outside while my supper cooked…

lots of activity in the garden… 

goldfinches were flirting back and forth to the feeder…

cutest little bunny wandered by…

 
and sat beside the garbage can for the longest time…

a squirrel came right up to me on the deck and gave me a good look… I advised it that this was my deck at which point it turned and scurried off, lol…

a fair bit later, possibly after a nap, I went outside and took this picture of the sky…

 

darkening early as it is getting ready to rain… the garden is quite dark… really enjoying how the white flowers pop in the evening…

  
thinking about a hot tub but may depend on whether there is a downpour…

weather has been interesting over the weekend…

yesterday morning I took these pictures of clouds looking in two directions…

   
 

and last night as I was walking home from supper out with the kids…

  
although it had been raining just a while before, in this shot it was beautiful…

today was a bit overcast early in the day and then the sun came out and lit up the garden as I worked in one section… happy with my work…

  
put out all the cushions and we had a lovely visit when the kids came for dinner… 

had supper on the deck, and just finished in time to move everything into the house and garage as the sky darkened…

poured for about fifteen minutes after they drove out of the driveway… left footprints when I went into the garden afterwards…

certainly lots of variety…

early this morning the sky was quite spectacular…

  
it was the aftermath of a storm that put out the electricity in a whole section of the city… the one I live in:-)…

we have a contest going at work about motion of any kind, and I had big plans to walk for half an hour on the treadmill… apparently silly thing needs power…

happily it came on with enough time to walk for twenty minutes…

sitting in a field right now watching my oldest grandson play soccer… bit chilly but great to have the chance to see him play…

this morning the sun looked very strange in the sky…

  
it was orange with a halo around it…

most of the poppies were blooming… all at the same time… think there might be one left…

  
made sure to get some photos because they often barely last a day…

 
leaving the driveway I got a picture of the front flower bed… looks nice after all my work on Saturday…

I picked two beautiful purple irises to take to the office…

 
they are beautiful and brighten up my space…

as the day went on the light outside changed and it looked as though the sun was covered by fog, which turned out to be smoke…

early this morning the sky was looking very ominous…

  
on our drive downtown we wondered what the weather would have in store for us…

been a full week and I decided to treat myself to supper… ordered from Clay Oven through Mobile Maitre’d… great to be able to have it just turn up… and it was delicious… enjoyed every bite…

spent time today thinking about what I do… it is quite a gift to do something you enjoy every day, with people you want to be around… doesn’t happen to everyone…

mainly overcast and cold during the day, but just took this shot of the sky…

  
nice way to end the week…
