another sunshiny day…
stayed in for breakfast… felt like –41 Celsius outside…
went out for lunch with a friend and his three children… busy, lol…
one of my gifts was a light that I can turn on with an app on my iPhone… besides white, it can also turn any colour I’d like… guess which colour I’ve made it so far…
in the background is my new picture which the kids picked for me at IKEA… it looks lovely against the purple wall…
I do love technology…

I think the hibiscus is in just the right place in the living room… must be getting the correct dose of sunlight…
there were at least thirteen buds this morning… looks amazing considering it probably only has twenty or thirty leaves on it…
this picture was taken when I arrived home and the sun was shining in and making some beautiful shadows…
got upstairs and took this picture of the sun going down…
enjoyed a very short walk getting home… crisp but lovely…
a great day filled with sunshine… haven’t had a lot of it lately so really appreciated it… happy to be able to take the time to enjoy the moment…

got dropped off a little further from home than normal…
so I had a lovely walk in the sunshine…not sure what the temperature was, but right now it is 15 Celsius…
many of the trees on the street are nearly bare…
the tree next door still has some leaves on it…
it is the one I see from the hot tub…
some of the bushes still have quite a few leaves… this one had lots of birds flitting in and out… I guess they can still hide here…
spent some time in the hot tub, watching the stars through the trees… now to bed…

another beautiful day… sun shone the whole time…
seemed like it was bigger and had moved over in the sky, lol…
always amazes me how morning glories seem to be lit from within…
the hibiscus has both a red and a yellow bloom today…
colours in the garden are changing every day…
I do love the myriad of colour that autumn brings…

once again the sun shone all day long… still a big deal after all the overcast and rainy days…
took some pictures of the hibiscus buds this morning on my way to the car… I can’t help myself when I see something lovely in the garden, lol, but that is part of taking the time to enjoy the moment…
here is what greeted me as I arrived home…
they are very lovely…
this one is from upstairs…
to top it off the goldfinch couple spent a bit of time eating their dinner as I was making mine… nice to have them both in the picture…
have heard of a few losses recently and it reminds me to enjoy every moment because we don’t know what tomorrow might bring…

the sun shone all day… quite wonderful…
the rain doesn’t appear to have bothered the hibiscus… has lots if new blooms on it…
last night I did go outside and watch the half hour of fireworks… really noticed how much the trees have grown… the view is not what it used to be, but still great… the street was completely filled with cars… haven’t had that for many years… maybe there were lots of people at the Park…
the very full pond this morning as I was leaving for work…
the sun shining in the garden when I looked out the window after changing when I got home…
bit of sunshine sure brightens one’s mood…

this morning I got up to a beautiful day…
it was warm and the sun was shining…
had to take out the garbage and recycling and then took a few minutes to walk around the garden…
the sun was shining on this little bush and I even thought it had flowers blooming…
the fish were swimming around and the garden looked great…
what a wonderful way to start the day…
sometimes I can forget how special life is and take the time to enjoy it…
later in the day I enjoyed each moment of our yoga class and then spent a wonderful few moments with a colleague as we took five minutes to walk around the outside of the building…
life is very good…

finally a decision has been made about the cushions…
tonight we went to two different Target stores to get the cushions for the rest of the chairs…
going with the green ones…
think they will work very well and have saved the price of redoing three of the previous ones, yay…
last night I got this lovely shot of the sun shining on the neighbour’s tree…
this morning I looked outside and saw what appeared to be a pond covered in soap suds…
not exactly sure what that is about…

had brunch out with friends and then walked home in the sunshine…
wore a light jacket and took a few pictures along the way…
this was the pool that was at the end of the street…
had to do a bit of fancy footwork to make my way around it, lol…
spent some some cleaning out the last bit of a closet upstairs and I was able to divest myself of a box full of books and other bits and pieces… also cleaned up a corner of the computer room and put my collection of gift bags and tissue paper into the closet… more space in the room, yay…
later in the day the sun was shining into the living room and I got this shot of the couch and cushion glittering…
my daughter and her boys came for dinner and we had tacos… the most exciting thing was that the littlest guy had meat on all of his tacos… maybe we are moving out of the no meat phase…
finally, I took this shot of the Japanese Maple, which at Christmas time, didn’t have a single leaf on it…
another sign that Spring might really be coming…

a beautiful day… had a lovely nap in the warm sunshine this afternoon…
the neighbour had his motorcycle out…
when I was outside, in my bare feet on the deck, putting chemicals in the hot tub, I could hear the snow melting from the garage roof… you can actually see the snow melting away…
had windows open for the first time for a good portion of the day… very nice…
just had a wonderful hot tub… finally the temperature feels like Spring…
wondering when all the snow will be gone…
