was pleased to discover some interesting use of technology while in Ottawa…

the Mosaika light show on the Central Block of the Parliament buildings was amazing… even the littlest person thought it had only taken ten minutes, although it was a thirty minute presentation…

the use of the building as the backdrop for the light and sound show was clever and the music and slides used interesting techniques… especially liked the 3D effect toward the end of the show…

we went to Zak’s twice for breakfast… the first time the server used a napkin to take down our order because the app on his phone wasn’t working…

the second time the server’s app worked perfectly and she ordered and calculated the cost at the same time… while there I had wonderful spinach eggs Benedict on a hash brown patty, delicious…

the pilot of our balloon was using an app on his phone which gave him flight information and which he used to record the flight…

his pursuit team also had an app which helped them be the first (of seven teams) to arrive at our touchdown spot…

always interesting what technology you can find if you keep your eyes open…
