spent some time at Rona on Saturday looking for just the right colour of paint for the bedroom…

brought home this paint chip and think it may have just the right colour…

I am often drawn to a colour by the name…

the one I am leaning towards is Angel’s Gaze… cool for a bedroom and has a slight pink tone…

for years the living room was painted a lovely pale pink which made it so welcoming and comfortable…

looking forward to the changes…

so I’ve been moving the flowers around a lot…

when I first opened them, I had them on the dining room table…

then they moved to the living room… I spent time there reading…

when I went upstairs to the bedroom they went along with me… I’ve really enjoyed them wherever I’ve been…

this morning I boxed them up and took them to the office… they smelled delicious and looked wonderful all day long… my colleagues enjoyed them too…

then at the end of the day, I put them back in the box and brought them home again…

they were in the living room for a while but are now here with me in the bedroom…

wanting to get as much enjoyment out of them as possible…

whenever I am sick I have to make sure the bedroom is tidy before I can climb into bed and sleep… strange but true…

thinking back to the many years when the bedroom was a bit of a disaster with clothes on the chair and a messy bed…

for the last few years the it is always tidy and the bed always made so that was very helpful when I arrived home just after noon today… sick…

felt silly because I am not really ill… just hot and cold, with a headache, sad stomach and very tired…

started chicken soup to have later, but might not finish it tonight… apparently it needs too much energy, sigh…

interesting how our lives and behaviours change over time… although I still can’t get into bed when I’m sick unless the room is tidy, lol…

spent most of the day in the bedroom, changing bedding, cleaning and reorganizing… ran a couple of loads of laundry and got it all put away…

put on the blanket on the bed that George loved… will be thinking of him when I climb into bed tonight…

took my time and watched tv and read as well so that I wasn’t worn out…

decluttered by getting rid of some books, clothes and a few bits and pieces…

moved my rocks/gems/shells to a different container – actually a winnowing basket from an event in 1993, and got my little fountain going… looks very nice… not sure if I’ve mentioned my obsession with rocks/stones… from my visits to Cyndi and Ron’s in BC I have brought back a good portion of Goose Spit, lol…

am always happy when I can get rid of stuff and be happy in the process… hope to continue on a bit tomorrow in the dining room…

added chemicals to the hot tub throughout the afternoon and was headed out there tonight when I discovered that the deck and ground were covered with a dusting of snow… the young man next door is having a party and I don’t usually go out but had decided it would be nice before bed… when I discovered the snow, it just seemed like a sign…

so, am writing my blog and going to bed… looks like the snow might be gone by morning so I will have a tub when I get up, which hopefully won’t be at 6 am like this morning…
