this is a picture of the box my new phone came in…

good news is I got a new iPhone 7…

the bad news… I got the new phone because I believe my phone was stolen this afternoon… gone, right from my desk, sigh…

I discovered this about fifteen minutes before having to go into a three hour meeting…

thankfully my daughter was able to call MTS and have the phone locked and then sort out what I had to do to get a new one…

after the meeting I went to the mall where I spent about an hour with the MTS people and then another forty-five minutes at the Apple Store…

since I arrived home I’ve been working to replace everything on my phone…

here’s a lesson… back your phone up on a regular basis, sigh… 

now to see when I last backed up to my computer…

on Saturday I picked up these new shorts… 

  
the ones from last summer aren’t going to fit this year…

and I will need them for our trip to New York City for a weekend mid April…

not exactly sure what the temperature will be but want to be prepared…

I’m going with my two daughters and one of their friends… looking forward to it…

have been looking through websites, Pinterest, and talking with people who’ve been…

we will be going early on a Friday and returning home late on the Monday… not too long but we are planning to see lots while we are there… 

everyone I’ve talked with has said it is wonderful… been a bit nervous because I’m not very good in crowds and am worried that there will be tons of people everywhere…

I’m looking forward to dinner at a great restaurant, maybe seeing some cherry trees in bloom and walking in Central Park…

early in the winter I bought a new pair of ECCO sandals and will be happy to break them in on this trip… for a number of years my feel hurt all the time but once I started wearing these shoes they have been pain free…

  
all winter I wear my sandals at work… people laugh when they see me with bare toes but I can still remember the pain that I was in constantly before… these are the only shoes for me now… I can walk forever…

put out the cushions, watered the plants, filled the pond, and then finally sat in the garden…

  
just about then a large bird flew through the garden and landed on the trellis behind the waterfall… the sparrows flew away very quickly… from my bird app I think it was a hawk… that was new, as I’ve never seen one in the garden…

shortly after that the kids picked me up and we went lounge chair shopping…

  
got this one and then a cushion from another store… not sure whether to keep the cushion… 

  
picked up this umbrella for the kids and when they put it up the crank stopped working and we had to take it back, but we got a new one which seems okay…

  
they got a new lounger and cushion and someone is very happy with it…

  
and now we are sitting on their deck swatting mosquitoes…

sleeping over and going to spend the day boating in Gimli… great start to my holidays…

I am just about ready for bed, cause there was no nap today…
