today my dear colleague, who has done a ton of work to help get my office organized, brought in the last piece…

it is a wall hanging that started its life as a table runner for my dining room…

she had it steamed, sewed up the edges, picked up a dowel and some hangers for it…

it fills the final spot on the wall perfectly…

I had a lovely orchid in the space, but a few days ago when I got to work it had dropped all of its blossoms…

just on the weekend, I had picked up another beautiful plant, so this morning, I strapped it into the seatbelt in the back of the car and brought it to work… made the trip perfectly and looks great in the space, although it has a white pot, not purple…

but it looks wonderful… and has a special feel about it…

the sky was absolutely amazing this morning…

I took these pictures between 6:07 and 7:15 am…

the sunrise was spectacular… on the drive downtown the sunlight was streaming through the clouds… not a single red light all the way to the office… and by the time I got there the clouds had filled the sky…

just before I left the office for the weekend, I got a photo of my amethysts… today we heard a designer talk about the importance of feeling good in your workspace and as I get used to my office I do enjoy all of the bits and pieces that make it mine and make me feel happy…

once I arrived home I took a picture of a piece of the Rice Krispie cake that my sweet colleague brought me this afternoon…

was so busy getting ready to leave the house early this morning that I forgot to take something out for dinner, but made a veggie omelette… it was tasty…

and now for a four day weekend;-)…

in an effort to keep up my exercise program I try to walk to the Park at least once on the weekend…

Sunday I got up and walked over fairly early…

the sun was shining down through the trees on the path… nice, considering the rain and dull skies we’ve been dealing with…

I decided to stop at The Park Cafe for breakfast… they have a delicious Black Bean Benedict where the beans are used as the muffin… nice treat… and I enjoyed eating by myself… yay for those big girl pants, lol…

the Boy with the Boot looked very nice in a circle of red and white, all ready for Canada Day…

the water lilies in the Arbour Pond have started to bloom, unlike the tropical ones in the main pond which are struggling with the chilly weather…

the peonies are doing beautifully by “our” bench… but I didn’t sit because this piece of equipment was buzzing loudly…

this bed of hostas is so beautiful… and the water drops just added to my delight in the view…

every time I walk through the Gardens I see something else growing or changing or for the first time…

so blessed for the good health and opportunity to enjoy this great space…
