the colours of the trees are so pretty right now…

one of the trees on my street has zero leaves on it now… many of the others are losing their leaves bit by bit…
it amazes me how all of a sudden they are all on the ground…

I cannot believe it…
June 11 and all of the flowers had to be covered because there was a frost warning…
sigh…

good thing there was a bag full of old sheets in the garage… and that I knew exactly where they were, lol…
not sure the temperature fell below zero, but glad I protected them…
spent some time this morning removing the sheets and hanging the baskets back up… they were a little sad to have been covered up, but they were all alive, lol…

really happy to have Shadow back at home…
she did bring good luck to my grandson when he took his driving test and passed on the first try…
had to giggle yesterday when I backed out of the garage and the side mirrors weren’t set in their normal location… problem was that I couldn’t see enough to reset them…
when I got to the office I was able to see and set them back to what worked for me…
filled her up tonight on my way home…
been searching for something to wear on my hands that would keep them warm when I’m driving… none of my gloves have kept my fingers warm… still haven’t found anything, but last night and tonight I drove with my bare hands because it is so warm…

made the chicken soup yesterday… been waiting all day for my supper because it was chicken soup with my mom’s dumplings… and they came out exceptionally well…
yum… I may have had two bowls full, lol…
I am doing a good job of planning my meals the day ahead so I don’t have to make last minute decisions, which might not be the best food choices… because I was having the dumplings tonight I was careful not to eat any bread products today…
started the day with a lovely view out the front window…
the trees are changing colours and dropping leaves at a very rapid pace…
it went below zero last night and a few plants in the front flower bed were hit, but it looks like the mandevilla and morning glory survived…
29 Friday May 2015
cool day and overcast for a good portion of it but mid-afternoon the sun came out… still a biting wind though…
picked up at work by my daughter and we gathered up the rest of the family and went to Fun Days at their school…
kind of chilly but the little boys had fun…

then I came home, having remembered, after a text and phone call, that I was supposed to be home at six for a friend to pick something up, oopsie… luckily they went out for dinner so were able to stop by on their way home…
since then, I’ve been bringing in plants and covering up the ones left outside, because the temperature is supposed to go below zero tonight…

not much room at the back door…
absolute craziness that it is supposed to freeze on the second last day of May…
beautiful moon tonight…
looking forward to the pictures I took with the camera…
been a long day and I am going to bed right now…

big girl pants, energy, hot tub, melting, productive, warm, weather, zero
the weather has been absolutely silly lately…
Friday night we walked back from our Christmas party in shoes and with our jackets open…
yesterday when I went out, I wore a spring jacket with a vest and was perfectly warm…
took this picture out the window this morning…

it went to zero Celsius today…
when I had an early morning hot tub today I had to wear a baseball cap as it was misting/foggy, but lovely and warm… as I sat there, I could hear water dripping from the eaves…
silly, lol…
it was warm enough that we were able to pull out dead plants from a planter on the steps and put in the spiral tree…
it looks lovely when the snow covers it… gonna have to wait a while for that…
the swag is on the outside of the door and the silver snowflake wreath is on the inside… looks good…

spent time organizing and decluttering…
feels like another productive day… maybe my energy is returning…
