here’s how the day has gone…

when I arrived home tonight, after seven, I found the back door ajar…

cleaners were here mid afternoon… so, likely it’s been unlocked for three hours… 

I didn’t even hesitate to go in… or even bother to look around for intruders… clearly it just didn’t get closed properly…

then I looked out the window and saw this…

went out and spent a few minutes enjoying the poppy flower… it’s a beauty and may be the only one this year as I don’t see any other buds in the garden… 

the year George died there were over forty blooms… never had that many flowers before or since…

really happy that I saw it because they are usually a single day flower… might be gone tomorrow…
