had lunch out on our way to the theatre the other day…
went to Pho Hoang, which was one of our favourites when we used to go to aquasize at Cindy Klassen pool during our working days, lol…
as always, it was delicious;-)…
I had shrimp salad rolls and sugarcane shrimp…

this morning I had an appointment with my doctor for my regular blood pressure check-up, as well as hearing my A1C results…
as we went into the exam room he mentioned to his staff person that I always wear purple, lol…
he started out asking if I had been to Fleurs de Villes and we chatted about that for a few minutes… I wondered why he had asked and finally realized I was wearing one of my Fleurs de Villes t-shirts, lol…
he had to take my blood pressure a few times to get a good reading… I mentioned that my housemate was waiting for me and I was worried he wouldn’t get to work on time, lol…
my A1C had gone down and has been trending downward which made me happy as I feel I am eating in a more normal fashion… he was pleased with that…
we also discussed that those numbers could go as high as 8.1 before it would be a problem as I age… of course, neither one of us plan to let that happen…
on the way home we picked up a favourite breakfast as a treat;-)…
way to go me😊…

the front doorbell and the garden cameras both needed to be charged at the same time…
it was easy to bring in the front one but not so easy for the other one, lol…
I had to make a path to the garden camera as that area was a part of the snow pile from shovelling… took a while, but I got it;-)…
the cameras are now both charged and the garden one has been put by the garage door for the rest of the winter…
much easier to get to, lol…🤪

the weather has been crazy cold and I’ve been hibernating in the house… so I finally finished the first dishcloth…
it ended up being a bit on the large size, lol…
so now I’ve started on the next one, which I am making smaller…
my fingers get a bit uncomfortable if I work on it too long, so I am having to pace myself…
feeling very crafty 😊…

also delicious, although I didn’t eat it all…
just enough to enjoy it, yum…
and, to top it all off, my friends treated me to lunch;-)…

had a wonderful time today with friends at The Leaf…
we travelled together and had a lot of laughs in the process, then checked out all of the displays, and had one of the volunteers take our photo…
ended the day with a lovely lunch and visit at Gather;-)…
dropped off one of us and had a short visit…

my housemate decided to make apple crisp with all the apples he purchased and then forgot to eat, lol…
I found a recipe and we peeled, cored, and sliced what felt like a ton of apples before they went bad…
next he mixed in the sauce and then used the vacuum sealer to package two bags of the apples…
when he decided to make the apple crisp, he gathered the ingredients for the crisp portion, put everything together and baked it in the oven…
it came out delicious… reminded me of my beloved whose favourite thing to bake was apple pie;-)…

been on a decluttering binge… who knew…
started in the computer room closet and found some comforters to give away…
next I sorted the JD Robb books I’ve recently received and put them in order… there are still a few missing, but the collection is nearly complete…
and then I went through the Nora Roberts library to see which ones I could let go, lol…
I really enjoyed the trilogies, so was able to gather a fairly big pile of others to give away;-)…
