started April by changing up the living room table…
this time I moved all the crystals to one square, filled a second square with shells… the third square included birds and critters… the final square with some of my favourite books…
looks good…

got some lovely flowers on Tuesday…
had fun trimming and putting them into a couple of vases…
one went onto the living room table right by where I spend a good portion of the day…
the second went into the den so I can enjoy them while watching tv…
great way to start my birthday month, lol…

got up early, put in my contacts, put on my swimsuit, made sure my swim bag had everything needed in it… and headed to the pool with my buddy…
got there just in time… only to learn all classes had been cancelled this week because of spring break, lol…
this was the second time we’ve been to a Tuesday class… the first time we arrived late because we thought the start time was fifteen minutes later than it actually was… and this time the class was cancelled… I don’t think Tuesdays are our day, lol…
when I got home the good news was that I didn’t need to hang anything up to dry;-)…

just about every time I walk up or down the stairs to the second floor, I stop and look out the window…
watching the garden change from day-to-day…
maybe a bunny, a cat, solar lights, new flowers, squirrels, birds, so many changes take place if you take a moment to look…
this photo shows a few solar lights, one of which was under the snow, lol…
soon it will be green again… please🤪…

fun to watch the garden after the snowfall to see any fresh trails…
the bunnies have been busy…
even caught some through the window into the neighbour’s yard… their trails are made by dogs, not bunnies…

yesterday, I took some photos of the sticky note that is on the mirror at the front door…
in the summer it is often located on the front door so that visitors know I am in the garden;-)…
I took the photos as I was eagerly anticipating spending time in the garden because this is how it was looking outside;-)…
that was at 2:45 pm when I laid down for a nap… when I looked outside at 5:45 pm it looked like this…
and this morning, this is what I saw outside…

Wednesday morning after I had my breakfast, I walked over to Ultracuts for a haircut… I had called and they weren’t busy so I moved quickly, lol…
it has been very icy for quite some time so I was a bit concerned as I wondered if the sidewalks would be clear… and, happily they were…
it was great to get the haircut because the last few home cuts were poorly done, lol…

last Thursday a person from Manitoba Hydro arrived at the door…
I was a bit surprised, because I was expecting an inspector on Friday to review, and hopefully, approve the gas hot water tank installation…
but the Thursday person was here to change the Hydro meter…
after they changed it they advised that it was wifi enabled and they would be able to read it from outside the house once it is hooked up to their system…
I was a bit worried because when I looked at the meter a while later it was still showing zeros across the board… but, by Friday, it was starting to move… woohoo…
and then on Friday, the inspector arrived late, but approved the work, whew… which is kind of good considering it was over a month since the tank was installed, lol…

so it was a lovely treat… had to crop the photo quite a bit, lol…
there continues to be snow on the ground, but as the temperature is starting to stay above zero, hopefully it will continue to melt away;-)…
