this morning the sky was very gray and a bit of rain came down…
a short time later the sun burst through to light up the trees, and then it was dull again…
now the sky has cleared and the sun and a few clouds are my view…
been a changing day…

had a lovely afternoon on the deck yesterday…
removed one of the feeding saucers and cleaned the table… that took a long time but it looked shiny when I was done… looks ready for a meal with the boys;-)…
then I sat in the sunshine and read… so lovely…
at the end of the afternoon I brought in the planters which I am going to use to start some seedlings…
looking forward to getting the planting started…

had some fun watching this little critter…
all of a sudden another came along… turned its head to stare them down… and there was some serious scurrying;-)…
they look so cute, but they are a lot less friendly than the gray squirrels and run everyone else off from the feeders…

a few days ago I separated the two commingled orchids… it was amazing how deep the roots had gone into each other’s pot…
after that I moved the majority of the orchids around… it is lovely now to see them all throughout both the living and dining room…
even many of the ones from the living room table were moved… the table looks a bit empty now, lol…
I am hopeful that they will all be happy in their new locations…

over the last week I’ve been enjoying the sunlight…
in the morning it is shining into the den, which it hasn’t done for months…
and in the afternoon it now shines on the spot where I usually sit…
yesterday, I sat on the deck in the sunshine for an hour… and the sun was warm on my body…
spring is coming;-)…

one of the things that makes me the happiest is spending time taking photos of bouquets…
yesterday I spent a good portion of the day taking shots from all angles with my Nikon…
as the flowers open and close I will have more opportunities to get some beautiful photos…
flowers make me happy;-)…

I’ve spent time yesterday and today shovelling ice that was right by the garage door… and I’ve got rid of it all;-)…
I’m very disappointed because water is dripping under the eavestrough all along the side of the garage… this hasn’t happened before, so I am wondering if it has to do with the roof being shingled last summer…
there is water inside which I will try to shovel/push out next time I go out… my beloved would not be happy with this… I did lean some boards against the outside wall which should help move the water away from the garage…
I will be interested to see how my arms feel tomorrow, lol… you really have to ram the shovel under the ice…

my grandson came over to shovel today… and pick up a few woodworking tools for his online woods class…
just before he arrived I watched a couple of bunnies eating on the deck…
it was much easier to clean up the snow as it was fairly fresh… the last time it was a few weeks before he was able to get here, mainly due to the crazy cold we went through…
today, he was dropped off and wasn’t picked up for a few hours, so after he finished shovelling, he came inside and we had a visit… we sat as far as possible from one another in the living room and both wore masks…
I learned about his classes and what he has been up to, as well as how he is planning to make money in the future…
we talked about how he will go about taking drivers Ed in these strange times, and it is hard to believe that he will be driving this summer;-)…
it was lovely to spend time with him, even just sitting playing on our phones, lol…
he was picked up, the tools were gathered into the vehicle, and off they went…
looking forward to seeing what he makes…

I seem to be in the midst of Spring fever…
spent time rearranging plants around the main floor trying to change it up a bit…
moved one of the orchids from the dining room garden to the living room window and placed it into a vase I received when I retired… I think I like it…
I clustered the African violets together and moved a fern from one spot to another…
it will be interesting to see if they all like their new locations…
I am also watching the mandevilla, which I think, has a bud starting… very exciting…
