I’ve been watching the monarchs fly around the garden for the last while…

I sit with bated breath, hoping they will find the rather puny milkweed supply… and occasionally they do find it…

I’ve moved the planter, with the milkweed, and a very fast growing morning glory in it, so I can watch from my favourite spot by the pond…

now there are a few eggs on it to watch;-)…

they have even found the butterfly bush…

I have had so many opportunities to remember how blessed I am as I sit and enjoy the nature around me…

my plan was to put morning glories all around the garden and that has worked out nicely…

there are some in the planters right when you walk into the garden, there are some in various pots, there are some in the garden by the pond, although they haven grown up the obelisk just yet, lol…

there are even some in a pot by the pond that I didn’t even plant…

there are also a few in the grass but so far I haven’t seen any flowers…

I am most hoping for more in the large pot on the deck with the tall obelisk in it… I thought they would grow up it and make a beautiful showy display…

but I planted a dahlia in that planter as well and currently it is hiding most of them;-(… although that is the first of the dahlias to have buds form;-)…

for my birthday I received an egg carton with four little eggs of wildflower seeds to plant…

I started two in a pot I had and they are starting to bloom;-)…

no idea what any of them are, but these are lovely little cuties… I’ve also got some sweet little bachelor buttons…

wonder what else will flower;-)…

last fall I brought the fuchsia in to see if it would survive the winter in the house…

it did, but looked rather scraggly when it came back outside, so I wasn’t sure if it would flower again…

and look what I spotted…

beautiful flowers opening… tough little devil…

was rather pleased that it made it;-)…

last year I almost missed this little iris… so I was watching for it this year…

it sits right up next to a flower pot which I hope is going to have a dahlia growing in it…although currently there is no sign of said dahlia;-(…

but the iris is beautiful…

happy I took a walk around the garden before the thunderstorm…

this is a self-seeded columbine… they have wandered around the shade garden over the years… so far this year I’ve found two…

we really got a good downpour… I watched it pour over the water barrel as it was coming down so hard and fast…

not sure how the flowers faired afterwards, lol…

woke up to twelve open poppies yesterday…

was quite surprised as they usually open one or two at a time…

they look lovely, particularly with the reflection in the pond…

the goldfish add to the pretty orange colours, lol…

can’t stop taking photos of them…

today I spotted a few visitors in the neighbourhood…

all day my baby bunny friend has been popping up in the garden… I think we are becoming friends, lol…

now it sits closer to me and for longer periods;-)…

later in the day, as I was getting my steps in, I saw a mallard pair sitting under the pine tree next door… not sure I’ve ever seen ducks this close to the house…

yesterday I received two sets of stickers made from my photos, that had been ordered a while ago…

after cleaning off one that came on the computer, thanks to rubbing alcohol and an old facecloth, I added one of each ;-)…

think I’m liking how they look…
