one of the things that makes me the happiest is spending time taking photos of bouquets…
yesterday I spent a good portion of the day taking shots from all angles with my Nikon…
as the flowers open and close I will have more opportunities to get some beautiful photos…
flowers make me happy;-)…

I seem to be in the midst of Spring fever…
spent time rearranging plants around the main floor trying to change it up a bit…
moved one of the orchids from the dining room garden to the living room window and placed it into a vase I received when I retired… I think I like it…
I clustered the African violets together and moved a fern from one spot to another…
it will be interesting to see if they all like their new locations…
I am also watching the mandevilla, which I think, has a bud starting… very exciting…

I’ve been trying to do something creative most days…
today I cut back all the roses and made a few different arrangements with them…
I liked the look of this Japanese teapot…
this is a fire pot so it was fun to use it in a different way…
here is what they looked like before the rearrangement…
lots of fun…
on my way out of the kitchen after doing the flowers I spent time walking on the spot and watching a bunny on the deck snacking at the saucer where I had just put some seed…
it was nice to see that the sparrows came right up to the feeder, even when the bunny was there… the squirrels always chase everyone else away… they are greedy, lol…

I’ve been spending a lot of time watching all the critters in the front yard and garden…
it is amazing to watch them fly through, under, and around… they sometimes hover near the feeders if there is a lineup…
other times they swoop between the bench and deck on their way to the saucer under the table…
today I tried to catch a photo of them flying, but that didn’t work, lol…
still, it is a treat to be able to watch and enjoy their antics…

today I spent a lot of time observing the birds at the feeders in the garden…
started first thing when I caught a nuthatch, squirrel and bunny snacking… I didn’t even notice the nuthatch when I took the photo, lol…
then the nuthatches, chickadees and house finches came and went for hours…
got a few good shots while at it, but it was difficult with the snow on the window…
a very enjoyable way to spend the day…

as I was walking around the main floor getting steps in, I was contemplating the saying on the picture over the pass through…
it says live every moment, love beyond words, laugh every day…
such a great reminder of how I want to be…
I am always so pleased when I make sure I see what is happening in the moment…
today, I watched the downy woodpecker without trying to get a photo of it… as it moved from spot to spot on the suet feeder looking to get the best access to the snacks, I was able to enjoy the red patch on the back of its head… this photo is from yesterday…
he’s very cute and comes by regularly…

I’ve been watching a bunny in the garden when I hot tub … a few days ago I spotted it on the deck…
recently I walked into the kitchen and saw it at the feeder on the deck, so I tiptoed into the living room and got my camera…
quietly made my way back to the kitchen and snuck up to the patio door and took a few pictures….
so cute…

yesterday the quote I reviewed was about facing the light and thus putting the shadow behind…
made me think of the juxtaposition of light and shadow which had me wandering around my plants and taking photos being sure that my shadow didn’t affect the pictures…
it was was relaxing and I appreciated the time…

what a wonderful day yesterday… slept in, and when I got out of bed, saw hoarfrost on the trees out the bedroom window…
as I passed the window on the staircase, I spotted a bunny having a snack… first one I’ve seen on the deck this winter…
and the views out the window were wonderful… I even went outside a couple of times to get a few photos… some when it was overcast…
and some in the sunlight…
so beautiful, and a reminder of a day with my beloved when we took a drive to photograph hoarfrost…
