my adventure buddy gathered flowers, and I gathered photographs with my Nikon… great fun for both of us…
of the 125 photos I took, I was very pleased with about 75…
the weather was perfect, overcast and cool, and there were few bugs… we had been there in August of 2022 and the mosquitoes had been voracious at that time…
the fields were not as far along due to the weather but it is a beautiful place to spend time in… so happy I remembered that taking pictures was more fun for me than gathering flowers;-)… and nice to get the camera out for a change;-)…
often, now as I lay in bed at night, I listen to the frogs at the creek croaking their little hearts out…
it is quite lovely to hear and reminded me that I needed to move the camera – which was facing the driveway for the winter – back to its spot on the deck, facing the pond…
made the move today, after I charged the battery…
it will be interesting to see if it catches those bunnies that have been tearing around the garden at night, lol…
today we removed the wired Geeni motion sensing light/camera on the garage that no longer works since we changed to Shaw, sigh… this one, as well as two cameras inside the house, stopped working, but the one in the garden is still working perfectly…
it didn’t take too long, but dealing with any type of electrical always makes me nervous…
so far it looks good…
hoping that we can sell the one we took down as it worked perfectly;-)…
on Thursday the blue screen of death showed up on the laptop…
apparently on Monday, when the camera kept failing during our video call, it was a harbinger of the computer’s end of life…
I spent quite a bit of time on Friday morning searching for the sales slip from January 2nd, 2020, when I purchased it in Ottawa, without success… I did find the record in my credit card statements, but after contacting Best Buy, discovered there was no extended warranty…
did some research and went to Best Buy… had a plan to purchase the same computer, but an updated version…
in the end I found a slightly higher quality machine and was happy they actually had it in the store… after consulting with my two computer geeks, brought it home and we spent time in the afternoon getting it filled with all “the stuff” I need…
the old machine fit beautifully into the box the new one came in, and will take a trip to my son-in-law to see if he is able to save anything on it…
I had some fun in the evening doing some personalization and making it my own, lol…
it will be interesting to see what I forgot I needed, lol…
been laughing for a few days… not long ago I was searching for the box that the Freebird camera came in as we were having trouble reconnecting it to the wifi…
I always keep the boxes of any technology in the Computer Room, even though I get teased about it… so, it was really frustrating when I couldn’t find the box…
so, looked out the window in the den, which I have done every day, and realized the box was under the camera that looks into the garden, lol…
up early on Friday to put out the box of pass-me-along items…
had to go back upstairs and get the phone to take a few shots of the beautiful moon…
tried to use my Nikon, but the battery was dead, lol… it is now sitting on the counter getting charged… I think I’ve hit something that is keeping it on wifi all the time which is why the battery keeps dying… going to have to do a bit of research to fix that😳…
so, the moon isn’t quite as clear as I was hoping for, but it does show how beautiful the morning was;-)…
