early this morning I walked to and from La Belle Baguette to pick up some bread…

the sun was in my eyes on the way there as I walked past the park between Amherst and Sackville at Ness…

on my way home I stopped and got a few pictures of the construction… no changes have happened in this playground for thirty years or so that I can remember…

it is going to be exciting to see what the final area is going to look like…

today I emptied and refilled the hot tub after my grandson arrived to move the tub a tiny bit before it was refilled…

when we replaced the arm on the hot tub a while ago, we moved it out a bit which meant that I couldn’t open one side of the cover without opening the gate… bit of a pain on a cold night…

it takes about 3 hours to empty and about half an hour to fill…

waiting now to see how long it will take to get up to the correct temperature…

this morning, early, I went across to the drugstore in Cityplace and finally got my flu shot…

I’ve been trying to get over ever since it was available… besides hopefully protecting me, it might save someone else who I come into contact with who might have a compromised immune system…

I always think of my dad when he was in hospital toward the end of his life… family and friends didn’t want to visit him if they had the sniffles… eventually we decided that if someone was going to make him sicker, it might as well be one of us, rather than a hospital staff person… it was more important to spend what little time we had with him…

only waited a short time for the shot and then had to wait the obligatory few minutes afterwards to be sure I wasn’t having any reaction…

so far I haven’t experienced any side effects…

guess we’ll see how it is in the morning;-)…

what a great evening spent with three of my colleagues…

always a treat to get to visit and enjoy time together…

the women entrepreneurs who were celebrated at WEYA tonight were all about health and wellness… a good reminder to take time to care for yourself…

they are an amazing group… our province is in good hands;-)…

a few days ago when I was heading home from work I stopped and took some pictures of the piles of leaves in the parking lot…

as I walked through the backyard I took some shots of the leaves there too…

I haven’t been enjoying this Fall because it hasn’t been very Fall-like, sigh…

cold, snowy, overcast… what a drag…

but the leaves are incredible… even if they are all on the ground…

had dinner out with a good friend tonight… nearly forgot because I don’t usually go out on a weeknight, lol…

it was wonderful to walk over to the restaurant as I’ve been rather lazy recently…

dinner was delicious and we both left with goody bags filled with leftovers…

yesterday my son-in-law and middle grandson came over and we went to Costco to pick up a few things…

they carted stuff in and put it away while I prepared the meat for tacos… serendipitous as my grandson mentioned he’d been craving them for a few days…

the boys use both hard and soft shells, but I like to make salad with mine…

after supper we jumped in the car and drove to Boon Burger for some vegan pumpkin pie ice cream… my son-in-law is having to watch his dairy intake and was very excited to learn that they have this particular ice cream and that he could eat it…

it was snowing a bit as we left with our treats, lol…

yesterday saw Prairie Nurses at PTE… it was funny and entertaining…

first show of the season and there was a full house…

beforehand we went out for lunch at the Falafel Place…

had some delicious falafel, and salad with hot cooked onions and garlic as part of the dressing… wasn’t sure how I would like it, but it was delicious…

enjoyed the show and had a lovely snack of Callebaut chocolate and some almonds…

walked home from the end of the street and got this shot of the many bare trees…

this morning it was hard to tell whether there were more leaves or snow blowing…

not really what is expected at this time of the year, sigh…

I had been laughing just before because when I looked outside the bird feeder was on the ground and the squirrel and birds were enjoying how easy it was to get the seeds…

maybe the raccoon had come by and taken it off the pole… which had been leaning way over again…

today was my first Friday back in the office since May…

started the day with a visit to the dentist’s office… have lovely clean teeth now…

dressed casual to ease back into being in the office on a Friday, lol… and brought a snack for everyone… it was the leftover trail mix from Thanksgiving dinner… I had picked up a number of bulk seeds, nuts and smarties and mixed them together… came out great and everyone loved it…

on my lunch break I went for a walk in the sunshine and checked out some cameras… still looking for just the right one to replace my Nikon…

a few pretty plants out there although they were looking a bit rough around the edges close up…
