a few days ago I booked my fourth visit to Fleurs de Villes at The Leaf in January;-)…
it is always wonderful to see and I have given a number of friends tickets to go (with me of course)…
seems like a perfect Christmas gift for anyone who appreciates art, flowers, nature, and creativity… especially after looking out the window and seeing this, lol…

went to our last aquasize for the year on Tuesday…
the weather was warm, which always makes going out more fun;-)…
it is always a great time, even if we are worn out at the end of the class, lol…
we’ve had to miss a few times due to other activities, and we are going to change to Thursdays in the new year which means we shouldn’t miss any…
being there every week will also provide some continuity and keep us more fit…

I’ve been watching the amaryllis that I purchased in early November…
it is now in the sleigh with some of the snow people and it seems to be doing okay… I added some of the solar lights in and around the melt (group of snow people)… I kind of like it…
both of the little babies on the sides of the main bulb have started to shoot up, and even the original bulb is starting to have a bit of green peek out…

it was very cold this morning 🥶…
it looked beautiful outside with everything covered in fresh snow…
I waited until around 10 to go out and blow the snow off the front steps and sidewalk so that it would be clear for the mail carrier…
today, I did not clear a path through the grass to the neighbours’ house… it was too cold;-(…
the sun was shining, but the wind kept blowing the snow back up at me, covering my leggings, my jacket, and my boots…
I was happy that I’d left my glasses in the house as my face also received a lot of blowing snow on it, lol…
I do believe that winter has arrived… even if it isn’t December 21st… feels like the sundogs are showing it;-)…

went to Shelmerdine with a friend to pick up some items from a fundraiser she was connected with…
always a treat to wander through all the areas of the greenhouse… even found a little something for someone’s next year’s Christmas present…
this planter was so pretty and the balls were so nice, especially with the snow on them…
when I got home I hung the swag that came from the fundraiser on the front door… not sure if the cord needs to be shorter…

enjoyed time in the computer room wrapping up the Christmas presents…
this year there was just a small box to go to Ottawa which went into the mail a few days ago… a few items were ordered and delivered directly to them…
the remainder of the presents are now under the tree…
happy to have this piece of work completed…

got these two little cuties while grocery shopping the other day…
the tree will join the rest of the forest once they make their way out for their seasonal display…
not sure if the snowperson will join the melt (group of snow people), or make its way onto the Christmas tree…

bought a few tree greens while at the grocery store…
dug out two birch branches, some small white twigs, and a stem of red berries from the shed…
went through a Christmas box and brought out some large ornaments…
last week I’d brought in the planter from the top step so it could thaw out so all the dead plants could be pulled out…
took the planter into the garden, removed all the dead plants and added in the greenery…
after everything was included, it was carried to the front steps…
added some solar lights…
looks good…
