caught a bunny in the garden this morning…hadn’t seen any for ages…
so it was a lovely treat… had to crop the photo quite a bit, lol…
there continues to be snow on the ground, but as the temperature is starting to stay above zero, hopefully it will continue to melt away;-)…

Spring is here and it is time to get out of the house and into the garden… almost…
so, I played with the houseplants today…
trimmed a few and moved some as well…
can’t wait to get into the garden;-)…

had a lovely wander around The Leaf on Wednesday…
I went on my own for the first time and for anyone who knows me, that is pretty good…
the cacao trees are looking a bit sad, but most of the Tropical Biome looked good…
I spent quite some time watching the fish… they were very active swimming around the pond and a number of plants have been trimmed back so they are also much easier to see;-)…
the orchids in the Mediterranean Biome are still doing very well, with tons of blooms on them…
and the biggest surprise was the Butterfly Garden, which had more butterflies flying around than I’ve ever seen here…
zoo staff were letting a good number emerge from the nursery and there were many people admiring them as well… it is always fun to hear what the keepers have to say about the butterflies… they record each one as they release it…
then I took one last walk through the biomes as I waited for my ride…

a few days ago the motorcycle made its way from the shed into the garage… the weather has been nicer and nicer…

the weather has been a bit crazy lately… it was warm and then it changed and has been cold and windy for the last while…
today I took some photos…
the snow on the driveway had melted a bit and after the wind today, it looks like glass all the way up… hoping the car will still be able to make it without sliding down…
and in the backyard the new snow has put a slight blanket over the decks…
enough already;-)…

turned the mattress and changed the sheets on Sunday morning…
it is feeling much springier, lol…
also put away the big, heavy, sun and stars blanket and brought out one of the afghans I made a number of years ago;-)…
can’t wait for more sunshiny warm days…

the fireplace made its way to the garage on October first…
it stayed there for quite awhile… during that time my housemate put it on a few for sale sites…
there were very few inquiries, but we weren’t in any rush to get rid of it…
recently, a woman came, measured it, and arranged to pick it up when she found some strong backs to help with lifting/carrying, lol…
she arrived a few days later, with a helper, and with my housemate’s assistance, got it into her vehicle…
its new home will be at her dad’s cottage where it will be installed outdoors;-)…

sprang forward this morning, lol…
it is so much easier these days… most electronics in the house automatically change…
now the only items I have to change are the stove, microwave, coffee pot, and grandparent clock…
I didn’t mind the process even before then because it was simple to change a phone, or anything else, by moving it forward, unlike changing it backwards in the Fall…

yesterday I had lunch on the deck… in my winter coat and bare feet, lol… I must say, my fingers were cold by the time I was done, lol…
today, I was out without a coat, although I did have a blanket over my legs and slippers on…
I spent hours out there in the sunshine and didn’t come in until the chair was in the shade at which point it was too chilly to stay out…
reading, a lovely lunch, and warm fingers;-)…
