Thursday evening we went to do some grocery shopping… I found a couple of side tables for the garden and a new water bottle

which, by the way, isn’t purple… sadly the old one, which was purple, is no longer usable…

the tables were easy to put together and look good… so far, one is happily ensconced beside the butterfly chair…

and just possibly, I found some plants for the garden;-)…

the season is beginning…

what a delightful way to begin the day…

looked out the front window just after 7 am and spotted this goose…

watched if for quite a while before heading back to bed, lol…

then, just after nine, as I was making breakfast, I walked out to the living room and spotted five mallards across the street…

they all came over, but only two of them stopped for a snack under the bird feeders;-)… I was happy when I caught this one as it was leaving…

I think I have found a new favourite spot in the garden;-)…

from here I can see the flower beds and both bird feeders…

not sure if it will continue because soon the hanging chair will come out and that may affect the view, but I am enjoying it for now…

Wednesday morning, as I was waiting for my ride to aquasize, I realized that the trees across the creek were covered in leaves, woohoo;-)…

it was a beautiful day and I had a hot tub in the middle of the afternoon…

can’t even remember the last time I’ve done that…

what a treat… I am doing my best to enjoy every minute of these delightful days…

things are starting to pop…

on my walk a few days ago, I spotted a batch of dandelions… according to a gardener I follow, that means we can start planting😉…

the trees are greening, the wild rose is coming alive and the lily of the valley is popping up…

and I can almost see the poppies getting taller as I watch, lol…

how blessed am I to have the opportunity to enjoy all of these signs of spring;-)…

moved the big umbrella from the garden onto the deck so that we would have shade for our gathering yesterday…

the weather station was suggesting it would be 30°C… which was a bit crazy as it had been maybe 23 or so the last few days…

used lots of muscles, but it was worth it as there was shade for everyone, although there was a bit of moving chairs around to stay out of the sun… and it was hot

not sure if it will stay on the deck or not;-)…

as I was sitting on the deck this afternoon, the leaves were budding

I thought it had been happening last week, but then it stopped…

today the temperature rose so high it must have caused them to burst open and it felt like it was raining…

took this photo of the chair cushion before it got really covered… I had to put my drink into a thermos bottle because my glass kept getting bits dropped into it, lol…

trying to decide how to change up the garden this year…

so far nothing much is happening, as we haven’t brought out the last bits and pieces of furniture…

washed down a few of the chairs and am trying one of them between the gate and garage door so I can have a good view of the pond and the bird feeders… not sure if this will work as the chair is quite wide;-)…

once the furniture and umbrellas are in place, there will need to be decisions made about where plants and pots will go…

and then new plants will arrive to be planted;-)…

a few days ago, after I read something about cold weather planting, I spent time in the side garden…

after I removed a trellis from the file cabinet planter, I fluffed the soil (lol), and then planted a row of peas…

some of the seeds were from last year’s crop and some new ones from a box…

can’t wait to see what happens with them;-)…

caught this activity on the door cam this morning… quite lucky because it only saves things for three hours…

not very clear, but the rings on the tail tell the story…

it was just a few days ago that I had a conversation with someone and we were discussing the good news that the raccoons hadn’t been around, sigh…

rather happy that the fish haven’t made it outside yet;-)…
