was up early this morning and went out to sit in the garden… it was a bit chilly, so I had a blanket around my shoulders…

it was sunny at that point, although the weather network was suggesting it would rain for a good portion of the day, so I decided to enjoy the weather while I could…

usually I would read, but instead, this morning I just watched the antics of the critters in the garden…

as I sat there the birds were visiting the suet and a bunny was snacking on the clover close to me…

what a treat;-)…

the weather has been a bit crazy lately… it was warm and then it changed and has been cold and windy for the last while…

today I took some photos…

the snow on the driveway had melted a bit and after the wind today, it looks like glass all the way up… hoping the car will still be able to make it without sliding down…

and in the backyard the new snow has put a slight blanket over the decks…

enough already;-)…

spent a delightful hour on the deck in the sunshine…

last evening my housemate dug out one of the deck chairs from under the tarp so there would be a place to sit when the weather is cooperative…

I found a set of cushions in the garage and brought out my Assiniboine Park blanket…

pulled over a small table and put my current book on it…

I did have my winter jacket on, but the sun on my face as I was reading was wonderful;-)…

there is still lots of snow in the garden, but the deck is always its own little micro-climate…

I even filled up a few bird feeders…

what a delightful time I had yesterday…

spent an hour and a half on the deck, reading in the glorious sunshine…

started out with a blanket and my winter jacket, but eventually put away the blanket and changed to my spring jacket… woohoo…

while I was out there I heard at least two skeins of geese fly by, although I never did see any of them, lol…

spent a few hours with my Monday buddies, read in the living room, and napped;-)…

was so tickled on Thursday morning… I spent just under an hour sitting on the deck reading in the sunlight…

the temperature was 3°C, and the weather channel suggested it felt like -2, although the deck is often warmer…

it was a bit of a process as I had to bring out a cushion for the chair and a small table for my tea, lol… I wore my winter jacket and had my Assiniboine Park Conservancy blanket over my legs, although I was in my slippers and was very comfortable…

what a treat to feel that warmth on my face…

and, when I went upstairs to lay down, the sun was shining along the bottom of the bed, so I napped sideways, with scrunched up legs;-)…

my sofa had a blanket on it for most of the winter…

when the weather changed, I used the back of the handmade quilt produced by my friends on it…

the reason for the covering involves two pillows I have put on the sofa so that it isn’t so deep…

now I’ve used two pillowcases and pinned them to the back cushions…

think I like it…

Tuesday, the patio door was open for a good portion of the day… guess it is time to connect the spring again…

always such a treat when that day arrives each spring… spent a good portion of the day sitting on the deck…

started the morning in one of the new deck chairs… after I pulled out one of the cushions from the garage… needed a blanket and jacket, but the sun was shining;-)…

then I brought out the wicker set from under the tarp on the back deck… I purchased and put them together last year…

and got very comfortable… by that time the jacket was off and the blanket put to the side…

wonderful way to spend the first day that was warm and sunny enough to be outdoors…

on some of the colder days, I’ve been wrapping up in a blanket when I sit and read in the living room…

Ive been using the crocheted one that I made a few years ago and just recently found a post telling me that I finished it two years ago on February 7, 2021…

it is very cozy and I enjoy using it…

I’ve been putting a cushion behind me when I sit on the couch and they tend to fall over when I get up, so I am constantly adjusting them as I sit…

the other day I used a blanket to hold them in place, but it was just a bit too short…

then I tried a different blanket which is a bit bigger…

I think it looks good and keeps the cushion in place when I get up and down…

and a bit more purple never hurt;-)…

so, then I did the same thing in the den…

brightens it up nicely…
