picked up an amaryllis when I was out grocery shopping on November 8th…
I am a bit sceptical whether it will do anything as it did not look very good…
the bulb was shrivelled with some dead bits at the top…
but, I planted it and put it close to a heating vent and have my fingers crossed;-)…

was just in the bathroom and was thinking about how blessed I am…
the fixture has an odd bulb which I can usually remove when one burns out, but for the life of me, I cannot install the replacement…
this is just one of many things that my son-in-law and grandson help me with on what feels like a fairly regular basis…
I am learning and doing more on my own, but it seems there are always things I need them for…
such a gift;-)…

another sunshiny day…
stayed in for breakfast… felt like –41 Celsius outside…
went out for lunch with a friend and his three children… busy, lol…
one of my gifts was a light that I can turn on with an app on my iPhone… besides white, it can also turn any colour I’d like… guess which colour I’ve made it so far…
in the background is my new picture which the kids picked for me at IKEA… it looks lovely against the purple wall…
I do love technology…

on Sunday Jeff figured out that the bulb I put into the light in the bedroom was bad… good news really because the light still worked fine…
then we had to search the house to find a bulb we could steal as none of the ones in the cupboard were the right size…
everyone left and I headed upstairs to discover that one of the two bulbs in the hall fixture had blown as well…
next morning one of the bulbs in the living room fixture went…
really need to go and get more light bulbs before every light in the house goes out…
