this morning, Hilda, the gardener, came over and worked away in the back while I continued gathering items for the camping trip…
before she started, we spent some time walking the area and deciding on what needed to happen where and when…
she weeded, divided and moved hostas, and trimmed the lilac…
looking good…

I’ve been thinking about so many in my circles who are dealing with difficult situations…
some are dealing with health issues, others with family problems, and still others are struggling with their work situations…
as the weather warms up and the sun gets stronger every day I am reminded of how good my world is…

feeling as though I haven’t been eating properly… so tonight I baked a chicken leg and thigh, with eggplant slices, and sweet potatoes… and made a cucumber and onion salad…
was rather pleased with myself… and it was very good…
after supper I peeked outside and saw this lovely sky…
not long before that the sky had been gray and rain had been falling… nice change…
very happy that a young friend had come by on Monday and raked the yard for me… still lots to do, including putting the six bags of leaves out for pick-up…
a bit of rain would certainly be good for the grass and the plants…

this morning at work I had to borrow some safety pins to make sure my pants didn’t fall down… they fit fine when I bought them… apparently I am losing a bit of weight, lol…
pinned up pants…
had some visitors this evening and we wandered around the house and checked out some of the items I am trying to divest… happily they walked away with a shoe rack and are thinking of at least a couple of other things…
then I spent some time removing the meat from the bones of a chicken, thinking all through the process of my colleagues who will be enjoying this chicken tomorrow at our potluck…

only last night I was talking with a group of women about taking the time when preparing food to think of those who will be enjoying it… I always find that it makes the task much more enjoyable for me and I think people can sense the effort I have put into whatever it is I am making…
life is full, and good…
