I am loving my new hose…

it reaches to the front step with ease and I can also get to all the plants and pots in the shade garden as well…

lots of room to get to each of the hanging baskets to give them a drink…

I’ve been having fun trying different routes with it, to see which ones I like the best…

and it barely takes up any room when it is put away… unlike the old one which wouldn’t hang properly as it had a mind of its own, lol…

yesterday I received two sets of stickers made from my photos, that had been ordered a while ago…

after cleaning off one that came on the computer, thanks to rubbing alcohol and an old facecloth, I added one of each ;-)…

think I’m liking how they look…

Hilda the Gardener came by today and filled the front planters, a couple of hanging planters on the side of the house, a bed next to the garage, and moved ferns from one area to another…

everything looks great…

there is a threat of frost (for the next three nights), so I have just come in from putting sheets over all of the areas, lol…

excited to see how wonderful it is all going to look;-)…

she also brought me some lilacs, because she knows I love them…

Monday I used the big clamp on the workbench in the garage…

I couldn’t find the 2×4 that had two nails in it which I made last year to put oranges out, hoping the orioles might stop by… no idea where it is…

so, I put a piece of wood in the clamp and used the drill to add two screws to it;-)…

we shall see if any orioles decide to stop by…

and then I drilled a couple of screws into a few spots in the deck that had come loose…

way to go me…

the garden looks amazing…

yesterday, Hilda the Gardener came and spent a number of hours cleaning it up…

afterwards I spent time sitting out on the back deck… the weather has been delightful…

today I spent the day in the garden, moving pots around, and planting dahlias and some of my flower eggs…

I used a cookie rack over top of the flower eggs to keep the squirrels out, lol… wish I had more for the dahlias, but hopefully they won’t be too interesting for the critters…

when I wasn’t planting I finished a good book and started another…

enjoying the days…

so excited to see two buds on the morning glories in the living room window…

had not expected flowers before the plants were moved outside…

usually it takes weeks before the first bud shows up, so this was amazing…

since then, those two have opened and many others have bloomed as well…

making me think that I might try to grow some over the winter… I could start them in the fall and then see what happens;-)…

had some fun separating my first birthday bouquet into four different vases…

there are now flowers in the living room, bathroom, bedroom and even the kitchen…

nice that I won’t have to carry flowers upstairs at the end of each day;-)…

I’ve been looking to install a raised bed garden at the side of the house, in the previously known as shade garden… it has changed since the neighbour’s elm tree came down…

this is clearly not the time to build anything with wood which has tripled in price in the last year…

I found these cute planters with trellises attached and ordered three…

they are very cute and I plan to grow some cucumbers and tomatoes in them… maybe some peas and beans… we will see…

I’ve brought four of the pots inside and will transplant the cucumbers in the next few days… they can continue growing and then just get plopped into the planter (if and) when the weather warms up, lol…
