so pleased…

in January, 2020, after a visit with the kids in Ottawa, I put the paper towel roll away in the cupboard and began using cloth instead in an effort to reuse and not waste…

I replaced that roll in March of 2021… that was fourteen months…

yesterday I used the last piece from that roll… that is sixteen months;-)… doing better…

the old cloth napkins, face cloths and finger towels have worked beautifully and wash very well… and they were all extras that were in drawers around the house…

today I put a new roll in the cupboard and will see how long this one lasts…

I have been surprised at how easy the transition has been…

just a small change, but it makes me happy…

reuse…

in January 2020 I decided to cutback on paper towel… I gave most of what I had away and only kept a few rolls…

I moved the one roll that was in the kitchen to the closet, so that it would be more difficult to get to…

I found a number of old towels and facecloths around the house and started using and reusing them… they sit on the microwave and when used go into a small bin that I have next to it, before heading to the laundry…

today I used the last piece from that roll and brought up another… wonder how long this one will last…

it is surprising how little you can use when you are thinking about it… next up will be the Kleenex…
