spent some time today reorganizing the living and dining rooms…

put away a few last Christmas decorations and got to try out a few of my Christmas presents…

first I played with these nifty gloves that were in my stocking…

they are waterproof and make scrubbing much easier… had a bit of fun cleaning the top of the stove with them…

after I put some of the plants back in their places I played with another of my presents… a can of morning glories...

apparently they will start to sprout in 3 to 5 days… I am really excited to see if we get flowers…

couldn’t put everything away… kept out the glitter trees once I stacked them… and just took a few photos with another of my gifts…

hoping to get there soon…

been a busy day and now to bed…

spent some great time this morning working with Styles in Word 2013… learned some tips and tricks on Wednesday when we had training, and I got the time to play with it a bit this morning with another colleague…

so much fun to work on creating a template that is going to save huge amounts of time in the future… I’ve worked with styles before but never really understood them, but I think I’ve seen the light and finally get it… woo hoo…

on top of that, I’ve been using a new app that I found on App of the Day… It is called Saver… helps keep track of expenses in a simple, easy to use format… you add in items as you purchase them and can take a photo of a receipt or type in a note… shows you how much you’ve spent in a number of categories…

I use my credit card to pay for everything and then pay it off at the end of each month… found this a helpful way to be mindful of where I am in my spending…

it was a good day…

I slept fairly well and, of course, was the first to wake up… at 8 I started to move around the kitchen, sort of encouraging others to get the heck up…

stockings were full...

we opened presents and then Skyped with Cyndi and Ron and opened a few presents with them…

everyone received an abundance of wonderful gifts (a lot of electronics this year) and we spent a good part of the day learning how to use them…

Jeff made us all breakfast and we continued playing with our toys…

we all came home in time to pop the turkey into the oven, have a snack, and play some more with all the fun things we’d received…

spoke with family and friends on the phone but wasn’t able to wish anyone a Merry Christmas… maybe I will be able to do that next year…

we've been waiting since the start of Advent to eat this tree...

we had lots of fun… after supper we broke the chocolate Christmas tree and ate some of it for dessert after Jeff and I had a lovely hot tub… once the kids left I had a short nap and am enjoying the quiet house…

thinking of all the wonderful times we have celebrated Christmas in this house over the years, and how blessed I am even now…
