yesterday I had a good time cleaning and organizing the upstairs hall bookshelves… I had hoped to spend time on the deck, but it was overcast and cool so instead I tackled the shelves… apparently the last time may have been in February of 2014…

it is quite a gift that I can wait until I feel like doing something to do it, lol…

and Tuesday morning I was ready to go…

found a box for the pass-me-overs and then started going through all the stuff on the shelves…

the box was mainly filled with books that seemed easy to let go…

items were rearranged and I even found a container of rocks and some small seashells…

happy with the outcome;-)…

now, I wonder how long I can keep it this way, hmmmm…

we were back in the garage last weekend and spent an hour reorganizing…

we planned to spend another few hours to make enough space to get the car inside, particularly as we have tons of snow already…

we did spend another focussed time in the space… this time all of the stuff that was in the rafters came down to be sorted…

there is a ton of wood and other items on the floor now, in various piles… for garbage, giveaway, and a small pile to keep… but the space above is cleared out and ready for whatever needs to go back up there…

no room for the car just yet…

what a wonderful afternoon yesterday… although it was hot, my garden designer came and spent a few hours rearranging pots and plants and other goodies…

we moved, and moved items again, until the garden looked just so…

a few jobs left for my grandson when he comes next… lifting a few heavy things and digging in a few lights…

what fun to have a fresh set of eyes… and someone who is perfectly fine if I don’t care for the placement of items…

I think the garden is happy too…

I seem to be in the midst of Spring fever…

spent time rearranging plants around the main floor trying to change it up a bit…

moved one of the orchids from the dining room garden to the living room window and placed it into a vase I received when I retired… I think I like it…

I clustered the African violets together and moved a fern from one spot to another…

it will be interesting to see if they all like their new locations…

I am also watching the mandevilla, which I think, has a bud starting… very exciting…
