thinking back to Tuesday’s pancake supper…
besides the lovely pancakes, I made a potato pancake with the last little bit of batter to which I added a shredded potato…
topped it with sour cream and a slice of bacon…
this continues to be my favourite pancake;-)…

yesterday morning I started prepping for supper…
I sliced strawberries and then added sugar to macerate them…
later in the day I pulled out the pancake recipe from a well-worn cookbook and got the dry ingredients ready…
once my housemate brought home milk, I finished the mix and started cooking…
microwaved some bacon on the side and whipped the cream…
the first batch of pancakes came out perfectly… mine came from the second batch and may have been a bit darker, lol…
what a delicious dinner;-)…

the flights are booked… ✔️
the hotels are confirmed… ✔️
the car is rented… ✔️
the car insurance has been purchased… ✔️
the travel insurance is in hand… ✔️
the house sitter is organized… ✔️
the bags are packed… ✔️
although the temperature is around 28° (compared to around 4° here), it looks like it drops by 10° at night…
hope I’ve chosen appropriate clothing for two weeks in Hawaii…
ready to leave on Tuesday…
