was so tickled on Thursday morning… I spent just under an hour sitting on the deck reading in the sunlight…

the temperature was 3°C, and the weather channel suggested it felt like -2, although the deck is often warmer…

it was a bit of a process as I had to bring out a cushion for the chair and a small table for my tea, lol… I wore my winter jacket and had my Assiniboine Park Conservancy blanket over my legs, although I was in my slippers and was very comfortable…

what a treat to feel that warmth on my face…

and, when I went upstairs to lay down, the sun was shining along the bottom of the bed, so I napped sideways, with scrunched up legs;-)…

give this to someone and tell them you care, while you can…

then he gave me a second one, which he said was for me… at that point he asked if I had change for a cup of coffee… I advised I didn’t have any money on me so he took back one of the roses and merrily went in his way…

both reminders of how truly blessed I am… warm clothes to wear, a safe home to live in, a vehicle to get me around and work that makes me happy…

warmth…

started the day by spotting these two out the window…

a squirrel under the feeder and a bunny across the street… can you see his ears by the sidewalk…

the Japanese Maple is so ready to move out into the garden…

can’t take it out too soon because it isn’t fond of the cool weather…

nearly missed the canna blooming…

was thinking that it had just put out a new leaf at the top, lol…

think it wants to be outside as well… mushed right up against the glass…

we all want to get outside into the warmth…

now, if it would just get warm;-)…

what a lovely evening at home…

had a great dinner with my ReImagining friends… wonderful conversation around the dinner table, and some deep thoughts as we considered what faith means to us…

20140414-225047.jpgit was chilly so we curled up in blankets and prayer shawls…

wrapped in the warmth of friendship…
