a few days ago I booked my fourth visit to Fleurs de Villes at The Leaf in January;-)…
it is always wonderful to see and I have given a number of friends tickets to go (with me of course)…
seems like a perfect Christmas gift for anyone who appreciates art, flowers, nature, and creativity… especially after looking out the window and seeing this, lol…

went to our last aquasize for the year on Tuesday…
the weather was warm, which always makes going out more fun;-)…
it is always a great time, even if we are worn out at the end of the class, lol…
we’ve had to miss a few times due to other activities, and we are going to change to Thursdays in the new year which means we shouldn’t miss any…
being there every week will also provide some continuity and keep us more fit…

it was very cold this morning 🥶…
it looked beautiful outside with everything covered in fresh snow…
I waited until around 10 to go out and blow the snow off the front steps and sidewalk so that it would be clear for the mail carrier…
today, I did not clear a path through the grass to the neighbours’ house… it was too cold;-(…
the sun was shining, but the wind kept blowing the snow back up at me, covering my leggings, my jacket, and my boots…
I was happy that I’d left my glasses in the house as my face also received a lot of blowing snow on it, lol…
I do believe that winter has arrived… even if it isn’t December 21st… feels like the sundogs are showing it;-)…

had a fun time outside a few days ago when snowflakes were gently falling from the sky;-)…
caught a few on my parka…
and spent time finding snowflakes along the stair rail…
they really are works of art;-)…

went to Shelmerdine with a friend to pick up some items from a fundraiser she was connected with…
always a treat to wander through all the areas of the greenhouse… even found a little something for someone’s next year’s Christmas present…
this planter was so pretty and the balls were so nice, especially with the snow on them…
when I got home I hung the swag that came from the fundraiser on the front door… not sure if the cord needs to be shorter…
lovely treat;-)…

ran around Saturday morning and basically finished my Christmas shopping…
a beautiful outdoor tree tried to seduce me at Canadian Tire, but I walked away, lol…
we also had a lot of fun at BulkBarn finding things for a couple of Advent calendars…
the last few books were picked up at Chapters for my littlest friends and we found the last sheep door draft stopper…
so, I guess now I have to wrap things, lol…

bought a few tree greens while at the grocery store…
dug out two birch branches, some small white twigs, and a stem of red berries from the shed…
went through a Christmas box and brought out some large ornaments…
last week I’d brought in the planter from the top step so it could thaw out so all the dead plants could be pulled out…
took the planter into the garden, removed all the dead plants and added in the greenery…
after everything was included, it was carried to the front steps…
added some solar lights…
looks good…

spent Friday morning at the entrance to the zoo as a zoo concierge…
this was my little nook by the doors…
learned lots of tips and tricks from the staff and got a few pictures of some of the Zoo Lights which started that evening…
four layers of clothing was perfect and toward the end of my shift, the top layer came off;-)…

got a photo of the cold tub setup…
two years ago it got used nearly every day, and last year it was barely used at all…
for the last few years the tub has been on the top deck…
this year it has moved to the lower deck and I think it is going to work well there…
the heater (which keeps the temperature at 5° Celsius), and pump, are attached to the side and removed when the tub is being used…
you can see the frozen footprints in the photo…

walked over to a craft sale Sunday…
had fun picking up cards, a bookmark, a tray, an ornament, a travel mug, and some matcha tea…
most of it for me, but maybe a few items for Christmas;-)…
