fun to watch the garden after the snowfall to see any fresh trails…
the bunnies have been busy…
even caught some through the window into the neighbour’s yard… their trails are made by dogs, not bunnies…

yesterday, I took some photos of the sticky note that is on the mirror at the front door…
in the summer it is often located on the front door so that visitors know I am in the garden;-)…
I took the photos as I was eagerly anticipating spending time in the garden because this is how it was looking outside;-)…
that was at 2:45 pm when I laid down for a nap… when I looked outside at 5:45 pm it looked like this…
and this morning, this is what I saw outside…
another giggle from Mother Nature, lol…

Wednesday morning after I had my breakfast, I walked over to Ultracuts for a haircut… I had called and they weren’t busy so I moved quickly, lol…
it has been very icy for quite some time so I was a bit concerned as I wondered if the sidewalks would be clear… and, happily they were…
it was great to get the haircut because the last few home cuts were poorly done, lol…

caught a bunny in the garden this morning…hadn’t seen any for ages…
so it was a lovely treat… had to crop the photo quite a bit, lol…
there continues to be snow on the ground, but as the temperature is starting to stay above zero, hopefully it will continue to melt away;-)…

Spring is here and it is time to get out of the house and into the garden… almost…
so, I played with the houseplants today…
trimmed a few and moved some as well…

had a lovely wander around The Leaf on Wednesday…
I went on my own for the first time and for anyone who knows me, that is pretty good…
the cacao trees are looking a bit sad, but most of the Tropical Biome looked good…
I spent quite some time watching the fish… they were very active swimming around the pond and a number of plants have been trimmed back so they are also much easier to see;-)…
the orchids in the Mediterranean Biome are still doing very well, with tons of blooms on them…
and the biggest surprise was the Butterfly Garden, which had more butterflies flying around than I’ve ever seen here…
zoo staff were letting a good number emerge from the nursery and there were many people admiring them as well… it is always fun to hear what the keepers have to say about the butterflies… they record each one as they release it…
then I took one last walk through the biomes as I waited for my ride…

a few days ago the motorcycle made its way from the shed into the garage… the weather has been nicer and nicer…

the weather has been a bit crazy lately… it was warm and then it changed and has been cold and windy for the last while…
today I took some photos…
the snow on the driveway had melted a bit and after the wind today, it looks like glass all the way up… hoping the car will still be able to make it without sliding down…
and in the backyard the new snow has put a slight blanket over the decks…
enough already;-)…

turned the mattress and changed the sheets on Sunday morning…
it is feeling much springier, lol…
also put away the big, heavy, sun and stars blanket and brought out one of the afghans I made a number of years ago;-)…
can’t wait for more sunshiny warm days…
