I’ve been going out to the hot tub for the last week or so…
it had been a long time since I’ve been out there because the weather had caused the lid to freeze over…
last night when I came in there was some Olympic replays of the day on which I watched as I air-dried on the bed, lol…
then it was off to sleep so getting up at 3:30 am wouldn’t seem too tiring;-)…

been laughing a bit as I had to move the hyacinth into the living room because the scent got too strong in the den, as it is a small room…
as of Thursday, I have been smelling it on my way down the stairs…
when I went to take its photo, the bloom was leaning way over, so full of buds…
put in a chopstick to help hold it up and got a few photos…

it was certainly worthwhile to get up at 3:15 am on Tuesday morning…
short track speed skating was on… after I watched the 1000 metre men’s qualifying heats, the mixed team relays were on…
and we got a silver medal;-)…
I’ve been enjoying my attempts to get half-decent photos… those athletes are all very quick, lol…

the light is returning;-)… this makes me so happy…
this photo was taken at 7:36 Monday morning… makes getting up in the morning much easier…
and this one was at 5:56 pm that afternoon…
seeing the extra light makes the day seem much more pleasant;-)…
looking forward to more light every day…

yesterday morning, I spent a little while wandering around the house and adding in Valentine decorations…
in the living room (adding to the table which I did a few days ago), on the stairs…
in the bathroom, and the den…
on Valentine’s Day, I will make something special for my dinner, not sure what yet… my beloved and I would maybe have had steak and lobster or some special treat…
he was very romantic and always got me a rose and some little present to celebrate the day…
I’m always happy to do a bit of decorating around the house, and then spend time thinking about him on Valentine’s Day… I have been so blessed;-)…

went out for groceries and found three little heart pillows…
which I had to bring home;-)…
and I was also happy to find daffodils and hyacinth;-)… they came home too, lol…
since then I’ve moved them a few times…
everything is now in the den, as I am spending the majority of my time in there, watching the Olympics;-)…

it was a lovely day so we spent some time on the deck, in between Olympic events…
first project was to top up the hot tub and clean all the ice off of it…
next, we emptied, cleaned, and filled the cold tub… a new pump has gone into it to keep the water moving…
it is always amazing how long it takes to fill up tubs, particularly in the cold, lol…
but, the jobs are done;-)…

was reminded of how blessed I am…
once a month cleaners come to give the house a once over..
when I walked into the bedroom after they left I laughed at how lovely the bed looked…
they took all of the cushions in the room and placed them on the bed;-)…
