time to change the living room table…

put away the L O V E letters and found a beautiful spring scarf that my daughter gave me from her trip to Italy…

once the scarf was down, all of the seed packets we have went into the four squares…

then I put the driftwood with the dragonfly on it onto the table…

finally, cushions came down from upstairs and replaced the ones that had been on the sofa…

feels spring-y…

been putting off dealing with the taxes, sigh…

finally sat down in the computer room and got to work on all the documents I needed to send in…

just recently a friend shared that the pharmacy could provide a list of all my prescriptions for the year… saved me a lot of pasting, as I would organize and stick all the receipts in date order from the pharmacy on letter paper and then scan the pages, lol…

thankfully I had printed a hard copy of most of the donation receipts which was handy when I was searching for all of them in my email, lol…

took a minute, but eventually I figured out how to scan things to the computer and locate where they landed…

then shockingly, I also remembered how to get into the Portal and was able to upload all of the pieces of information…

I think, 🤞…

I’ve been watching this item in the Gift Shop at The Leaf for well over a week now…

on one of my spots, I would stare at it, through the exit doors, but when my shift ended, the shop would be closed…

I kept planning to stop in before starting my volunteer time, but kept forgetting…

until today…

lucky for me the shop stayed open past the end of my shift for an event that was happening at the event centre;-)…

and I came home with this lovely blanket… it is a monarch butterfly (which I love) and is soft and cozy…

I think it will be perfect when I start to sit on the deck as the weather gets warmer;-)…

had lunch at Silver Heights Restaurant again today…

we had seen an item on the menu the last time we were there and wanted to come back and try it…

today there was no aquasize so we decided to go for lunch instead…

we had a Duke of Yorkie – shaved baron of beef, fried carmelized onion, mozzarella, horseradish mayo, on a giant Yorkshire pudding, served with au jus… with a shared side of onion rings…

it was delicious;-)…

went to our regular PTE play Saturday afternoon…

the parkade entrance was closed so we had to turn around and go in the exit… glad I wasn’t driving…

we were early so we sat down and shared a soft drink… as we were cheersing, a fellow theatregoer took a photo of us… reminded me of all the times I take photos of people at The Leaf, lol…

the play was interesting, but a bit long for my taste, or shall we say my bottom’s… after an hour and a half it feels as though the cushions give out, so two hours plus is difficult…

my buddy brought me cookies and two chocolates (individually wrapped)… toward the end of the play, I was smelling chocolate chip cookies and when I put my hand into my pocket I realized the chocolate had melted, yikes… ate the chocolate in the dark and then had to wipe down my hands which were a mess…

when I got home I checked out the pocket… took quite some time to get it clean… but the chocolate was tasty 😋…

when I got home late Saturday afternoon it was to discover that the internet was down…

that means no Google or tv🤪…

luckily there are still books to read… and actual light switches to use;-)…

but, as the evening progressed, the internet had not come back on… usually it wouldn’t be such a problem, other than the fact that there was the first F1 race of the season at 11 pm…

found a Youtube channel on my phone where the drivers parade was on and then found a program that showed the race in real time but as dots on a map of the course…
