halfway…

hadn’t been in the hot tub for weeks… Sunday it was warm and I headed out… when I opened the cover I discovered that the water was only about halfway up the side… it was at the correct temperature so I got in and sat on the floor so that I was mostly under water…

then the jets came on and I got splashed… a lot… didn’t stay in too long after that…

dried off and figured out how to get water into it… had to do some fancy footwork to get the vent open so I could run the hose through it…

last night I was out for a hot tub under the nearly full moon… so nice… might have heard some geese…

what a treat to be back there…

yesterday morning, as I was watching tv, I heard a loud rumble and crash on the roof…

it sounded like it came from the back of the house…

I went and looked out the window into the garden and couldn’t see much…

went downstairs and looked out the back door and spotted some chunks of a huge icicle on the deck…

was a bit nervous when I went out a short time later hoping that there weren’t going to be any others falling on top of me…

as I backed out of the garage, saw another big icicle that must have fallen at the same time on the other side of the house…

there is just one left now and it is much smaller;-)…

I have always celebrated every event that came along: Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Canada Day and St. Patrick’s Day…

when the girls were little, I’d make cookies for them to take to school… made a lot of cookies over the years…

for the last while I haven’t felt quite as enthusiastic about these special days…

maybe I’ve made my last cookie, lol…

today I had a green smoothie, even though I usually make eggs on the weekends…

for lunch I had zucchini-basil soup with the cutest bunny-shaped cheese pretzel from La Belle Baguette…

I also had fun taking some photos of the shamrocks growing in the Japanese Maple pot…

for supper, made green eggs and ham;-)…

came out very tasty;-)…

no fancy decorations, no cookies… just green food all day long…

hope your St. Patrick’s Day was just what you hoped for;-)…

worked around the house today… never set foot outside…

did a number of loads of laundry, made zucchini basil soup, sorted through the tax file to be sure everything was there, paid bills online and watched skiing and skating on tv…

when I looked out the back, spotted the bunny… haven’t seen her for a few weeks…

when I looked out the front, got a lovely shot of the sun behind clouds…

snow is melting, even without much sunshine… woo hoo…

today’s meals seemed an interesting mix…

my breakfast smoothie was a bit different than usual… included banana and strawberries which was a treat as I don’t usually include fruit…

lunch was at Ivory and they had some of my favourites at the buffet… palak paneer, vegetable pakora, and lamb… lovely…

supper felt a bit like a snack… had gazpacho and some delicious meatballs that I dipped in a homemade sauce…

not sure if I stayed under my calorie count for the day, lol…

a few days ago as I was driving home from work, I came across three different cars with vanity plates…

made me think of my beloved… whenever we would spot a vanity plate he would usually be the one to figure out what it said…

of course I couldn’t take photos of the plates, but this morning as I was walking down the street by the office I came across this plate;-)…

I figured this one out, lol…

this morning I remembered to put out the three boxes of pass-me-overs onto the front steps before I left for work…

different places call and check to see if I have anything and then I have to remember how to mark the boxes because each place has particular initials they want on them, lol…

the time changed last night as we sprang forward…

for the longest time today I wasn’t exactly sure what time it really was because so many of my devices change themselves…

the tv, the phone, my Fitbit…

finally confirmed the time when putting something into the microwave which isn’t automated…

I like springing forward because it is much easier to change the devices that still need it by moving them forward an hour… going backwards always seems much more difficult, lol…

microwave, stove, car and grandfather clock all updated…

flowers are my attempt at springing;-)…
