the dryer has been on the fritz for a week or so… we’d tried a few things, but nothing made a difference…

I sent a message to Hameed Appliance Repair on Wednesday and this morning Ron arrived and had a look…

he was able to replace a piece (even for this old dryer) and got it working;-)…

he advised we needed to change the vent tube, so we went to Home Depot again, lol… we’ve been there a number of times in the last few days…

now the tube has been replaced, the dryer is back in its spot, and laundry is being done;-)…

had some fun the other evening when I watched a webinar on Mylio… it was a beautiful evening so I watched it on the deck…

I had tried the free version, and eventually bought the better one as I have so many pictures on my various pieces of technology…

one of the things it does is combine all your photos and remove duplicates… still working on that one, lol…

it also puts them in a calendar which can make finding them simpler than having to search through a bunch, guessing when the one you want may have been taken…

the photographer on the webinar mentioned that he no longer uses categories, because the program can find basically anything you ask for…

made me think I need to get back in there and play with it more;-)…

been looking through my photos and came across a few pond pictures which demonstrate how crazy the water lily has gone, lol…

spent another night out on the deck;-)…

this time I brought up the air mattress, laid down a comforter to set it on, and filled it up;-)…

then up came more comforters and down came pillows from my bed…

had a good sleep but the top cover of the comforter was wet from the dew… and my glasses were completely fogged over…

last year my daughter sent me wildflower eggs…

this spring I planted one of them into this fairly large pot and have been amazed at all the flowers…

the pot is right next to my Inukshuk…

everyday there are new flowers springing up…

what a treat…

spent the first part of this morning watering everything…

while the irrigation system was looking after the veggie patch and pond garden, I used the rain barrel at the front to water the planters out front…

I’ve been lazy and have been using the hose most of the time, but I did enjoy using the rainwater from the barrel… and I’m pretty sure the plants were happy;-)…

been wondering if the evening sounds I’ve been hearing are crickets or frogs…

pretty much came to the conclusion that they were crickets as I haven’t seen any signs of a frog around the pond…

and then…

Wednesday morning, look who popped up on the bridge;-)…

the sound might still be the crickets, but what a treat to spot this little leopard frog;-)…

and in the last few days it has been all over;-)…

spent a bit of time getting all the chairs out, as well as cushions, for our Monday afternoon gathering…

even rigged an umbrella over an additional chair to be sure everyone had shade…

before that, I used the same umbrella to provide a bit of shade for the creeping thyme that we moved on Saturday… hoping it likes the new spot and starts to cover a bit more ground, lol…

it was a beautiful evening, so we walked over to Sam’s on Sunday night… we’ve been wanting to go, but hadn’t made it until then…

the menu was basically schnitzel and burgers with a few appetizers, salads and desserts…

we had burgers and curly fries… I had a schnitzel burger…

the patty was twice the size of the pretzel bun, so I cut it in half and brought the leftovers home for lunch…

everything was tasty and Sam, the owner, was very cute and attentive… it was fun to see how the regulars waited to say goodbye to him before leaving;-)…

may go again…
