Saturday, a few more projects around the garden were completed…

the final board that joined the back flowerbed to the fence was replaced and one of the yardwaste bins fits perfectly there…

the broken edge board by the bathtub pond, thanks to the hanging chair blowing over and breaking it last spring, was patched…

it looks so much better over there now…

a box was built to hold the mandevilla on the top deck so that the plant won’t blow over on windy days…

and two pots were moved to finish off the area around the pond…

the garden is looking very nice;-)…

the garden looked so beautiful after the snow on Friday…

of course it always looks beautiful as long as you don’t have to go out into it, lol…

I had taken out the garbage bin on Thursday, even though the pickup day had moved because of Remembrance Day… I didn’t want to struggle with the snow that was coming…

good thing I did that… a lot of snow came down… the pickup ended up being on Saturday, but I didn’t have my grandson bring it in while he was here shovelling…

this morning I went out and shovelled my way to the back gate so I could bring the bin back in…

shovelling was easier and I left the garbage bin just under the cedars so it won’t get too much snow on it… I followed the path that the bunnies had made so that there should be less drifting… except I ended up with my head in the branches…

had a snow hat for a few minutes…

been busy since I got home…

had a brief rest and then a simple supper of fresh cucumbers with tiny tomatoes and basil from the garden with some goat cheese… very tasty…

then I started gathering stuff… clothes, food, birthday presents… put as much into the trunk as I could so that there is less to do in the morning… getting picked up from the office to head out, so need to be organized first thing…


always giggle when I pack as I remember my beloved… he had a great ability to get any vehicle packed in the most efficient way, but he always had to add a grocery bag or two filled with all of his final bits and pieces of clothes or whatever last minute things he felt were needed;-)…

possibly I am starting to take after him, lol…

thought one bin was going to be enough but now have a bag filled with foodstuff, another with a beach blanket and expect to fill another with my travel items for the car…

we shall see…
