the red hibiscus is very happy with two or three blooms every day…

the new purple one seems pretty happy as well…

they do much better when it rains than the morning glories, lol…

the morning glories do well, as long as they remain dry…

the mandevilla has so far opened one bloom, but a few are getting ready… they take much longer to open than any of the other plants…

it is great fun first thing each morning to walk around the garden to see what flowers have opened…

so happy to see that the morning glories are opening…

the butterfly bench hasn’t had any open lately but the planter by the backdoor has been blooming over the last few days… today there were three…

then, as I was driving out of the garage, I stopped the car, got out and took photos of the blooms by the large garage door…

the blooms don’t last long and if it rains they kind of disintegrate, so I wanted to be sure to get a photo of them;-)…

the clematises are both doing well…

the one on the deck worried me for a while because all the flowers appeared to die off at once… I was concerned that all the rain was too much for it, but now it has begun to bloom again, yay…

the one in the driveway opened its first bloom nearly a week ago, and now there are many more buds opening;-)…

I think I need to train it a bit better so that it stays closer to the trellis…

something to work toward, lol…

moved the hibiscus into the garage and sprayed it down with homemade insecticide…

will leave it there for a few days before bringing it into the house…

I am sure that it will drop most of its leaves, as already, many have turned yellow… but that feels fairly normal for it…

hopefully, the few buds that are on it will bloom in the house…

fingers crossed;-)…

had a quiet day… it was snowing when I got up and didn’t stop until around 4 pm…

then the sun came out and it looked beautiful… looked being the operative word as, sadly, right now it feels like -30 Celsius… brrrrr…

spent a good portion of the day on the couch reading a book by one of my favourite authors and barely got my steps in… when I am into one of those books, it is hard to stop to get up and walk around…
