on Sunday I finished the last of a large collection of books by Fern Michaels…

I had received the first of two boxes and a bag full of them at the beginning of August…

I have enjoyed every single one of the fifty-four and was a bit sad that I’ve finished them all… I can’t even think of how many hours I’ve spent in the garden and the living room devouring them, lol…

not half an hour later, the next book by JD Robb was delivered, woohoo;-)…

excited to read this and all the other books that have been on the sidelines since I started the Fern Michaels collection;-)…

a few days ago a friend dropped by with some books for me and in the process brought me a couple of my JD Robb favourites…

we have both read the entire series and she has the collection, so now I am going to start collecting the series…

two down and fifty-seven left to collect…

such fun on Wednesday as I went through my Nora Roberts book collection…

I reorganized all the books in alphabetical order and went through the trilogies and other items in the stockpile…

and then I ordered a few books to complete some of the trilogies…

can hardly wait for them to arrive;-)…

I have a small collection of heart-shaped objects and the other day I bought a new bowl to add to the collection…

I have really enjoyed using it;-)…

it is slightly larger but goes perfectly with the other three heart-shaped bowls I already have…

for the month of February I’ve been trying to use them as much as possible❤️…

feels like working to clean up the computer room is a never-ending project…

but…

on Saturday I found my original seashell collection…

I can’t believe it… I came across a box that hadn’t been opened yet and figured it was filled with more papers… and when I took off the lid, this is what I saw;-)…

yikes, not even going to think how long that corner of the room hasn’t been touched…

what a lovely time I had today, unwrapping each one and putting them in the table and credenza…

memories came flooding back as I remembered names of many of the shells as they emerged from the 1998 newspapers they were wrapped in…

going to take out my resource books and do a bit of a refresher, lol…

came across this picture from a trip to Mexico in 2017…

I have loved and collected seashells since I was given an abalone shell when I was young…

this store was amazing;-)…

I have lost the main part of my collection… this is a very old picture from when I was a teenager…

I think these shells may have ended up in the garbage years ago;-(…

now I fill the drawers with a collection of more recently purchased pieces…

it was fun to remember the store and my collection…

had some fun with pictures today…

reorganized a few items and took a few shots…

angels have been part of my collections forever… now it has been reduced to just a small group…

a few are handmade puppets;-)…

when my eyes aren’t glued to the tv, this is what I see… can see beams of light early in the day and also midday as well…

a couple of weeks ago I picked up a set of four Rob McIntosh mugs…

  
I had bought these same ones about six months ago for my daughter who lives in Ottawa … had to wait quite a while for someone to take them to her… decided I really liked them, but when I went back they didn’t have any…

when I found them the other day I was very happy… I kept one at the office for me…

  
shared one with a colleague…

  
and brought the other two home for my collection…

was very proud of myself when I managed to reduce my collection by two, to make way for the new ones…

  
very happy that both of these were adopted by friends… one sent me a note saying she was enjoying her morning coffee in it and thinking of me:-)…

  

I have a wide variety of mugs and when people are over I have them choose the mug they would like to use for their coffee, tea or hot chocolate… bit of a tradition here…

have an interesting collection of pictures that I’ve taken over the last week…

on our walk through the zoo Tuesday finally got a shot of the geese flying over…

  
hard to get them flying in formation and in camera range…

came across this very large spider in a web at the front door when I got dropped off after Odysseo on Tuesday night…

  
the web keeps coming back after I remove it on a regular basis… this was the first sight of the spider…

driving to work on Wednesday morning I came across this group of bike riders who had a police escort as they were travelling down Portage Avenue…  
never did find out who they were and what they were doing…

caught this morning glory opening…

  
nice flowers today… received these at work from my kids…

  
just because…

and then when I got home was so happy to see the fully open morning glory…

  
  
been a lot of interaction with the natural world this week…
