had a fun time with camera and the birdies at the front window…
there were house finches, chickadees, the nuthatch and a downy woodpecker…
even used the remote control feature on my phone with the camera, lol…

received three more amaryllis bulbs and got right to getting them in the soil…
used a coffee filter in the bottom of the pot and then added the soil that came with each one…
they look cute all lined up in the sunshine;-)…
as with this one in the living room, which has a bud on it now, they will have a quarter turn each day…

it snowed quite a bit overnight and when I looked out the bedroom window this morning I thought I had best get out and clear the sidewalk… particularly after my learning earlier about not leaving the snow to get stuck, lol…
when I arrived in the living room the sidewalk was clear;-)… obviously the snow clearing fairy had come by…
that was nice and I sent a text to my neighbour, who may have been that fairy…
later I went and shovelled the deck and hot tub area as the tub needed water… I hadn’t realized how much snow had fallen…
I am so pleased with my extendible hose as it makes adding water much easier…now the hose runs up the stairs and out the back door, instead of through a vent in the wall…
then, while the tub was filling, I shovelled as far back as the garbage can…
a bit later, while I was eating lunch, I heard a snowblower going and thought it was the neighbour behind doing his driveway, but when I checked my garage camera discovered it was the snow clearing fairy cleaning my driveway…
what a generous gift;-)… the driveway is long and this will save my grandson’s back when he stops by for a short garage visit in a few days…
what a kind Christmas gift…

brought in the garbage and recycling bins yesterday afternoon…
while I was in the yard I changed out the broken bird feeder with a purple one that was in the garage…
I also filled all the feeders…
then I took a few photos of the new planter that is now sitting at the front door;-)…
it looks great…

put up a new window feeder which is open in the back so that it is clearer to see the birds stopping by…
once it was up I went and got some seeds from the garage and also went to fill the “squirrel-proof” feeder…
the seeds basically went right through because they had eaten the plastic pieces so there was nothing to keep them inside…
they are serious about getting those seeds and there are often a couple of them discussing who gets the snacks, lol…
rather sad because that was a new feeder purchased this past summer;-(…

recently I went outside and shovelled off the back deck…
a ton of snow had drifted there when we had that big snow a while back…
quite a bit of it had melted, but there was still a thick covering over most of the deck…
as I shovelled I came across a number of peanuts in the shell which had been left by the squirrels… I hope they won’t be too disappointed when they go looking for them, lol…

pleased to see that two of the orchids are getting new buds… got some nice pictures of the buds on one, while the other wouldn’t cooperate…
makes me very happy as they seem to be liking their new spot…
as of today, all twelve are in the new garden-erie;-)…

last night I went out for a hot tub… I hadn’t had one for quite a while…
although cold, it was still, quiet, the sky was clear, a few stars were visible and for the first time ever, I watched the moon rise behind the cedar trees at the back of the garden… not sure if it was the time or the place the moon was in the sky…
the light moved from area to area so all I ever saw was a tiny spot through the branches… it was amazing…
and then I had the greatest sleep…
I had forgotten how relaxing my time in the tub is;-)…

as I was walking down the stairs this morning I looked outside and spotted one of my bunny buddies…
I went to get the camera but it was exhausted so there were no closeup pictures…
the bunny sat there for the longest time before eventually leaving… I was happy that it was okay…
there are lots of bunny prints in the garden, lol…

well, the coleus has been transplanted…
there were lots of roots when I checked the glass the slips were in… I went out to the garage and brought in four pots and a pail filled with potting mix…
found a plastic container to use as a saucer and planted the 9 different pieces…
they are now on the dining room table in the light so we will see what happens…
at the same time I planted two ivy slips into a small pot which is going to sit on the bathroom window ledge…
more plants;-)…
