recently I went through the Halloween and Thanksgiving boxes…
I went on the hunt for pumpkins for Thanksgiving and ended up putting out those as well as Halloween goodies;-)…

glad to have set things out as I haven’t done that for a few years…

I’ve been collecting photos of Halloween displays since the very beginning of October when they started popping up on my walks in the neighbourhood;-)…
here are some that I enjoyed🎃…
decorating for Halloween has certainly become a popular pastime…
the very tall skeletons were cool, but I kind of like the happy displays, more than the scary ones, lol…
the majority of these were taken before the snow landed (and hasn’t left) which has since curtailed my walks;-)…

had a nice walk this morning although it was 4° Celsius and windy…
saw some nasturtiums and a very tall sunflower… apparently it was a yellow day, lol…
and these cute little ghosts flying in the wind..
quite a few Halloween decorations out there…

well actually, no one said Halloween apples… got a few trick or treats but when I asked if I could play a trick or get a treat they advised they were just here to collect candy, lol…
I took some treats to the office this morning…
could hear people giggling from my desk… I wore dark clothes, a skull scarf and had my witch hat leaning on my desk…
barely had time to get my jacket off, the pumpkins lit and my hat on before the first kids arrived…
they have all been friendly and polite… nearly everyone has said thank you as they departed…
the ghosts seem to be going over well…
got some shots of the pumpkins from inside…
and out…
it was raining when I stepped out to get the pictures… might explain why it’s been quiet for quite a while…
most of the kids think it’s cool that I have a costume on too…
still more fun when there is someone else helping…
lights out, decorations on the dining room table, and I am watching The Chew…

the orchids are happy, and of course, that makes me happy…
had a great time with my grandson who came over to do some yard work for me…
he mowed the grass, cleaned eavestroughs, put away outdoor furniture, treated weeds in the front flower bed, emptied and put away flower pots… such a relief to have his help…
while he was doing all that I got the potatoes, cauliflower, turnip and stuffing ready for tomorrow… we had lunch and a good visit…
after he left I worked on the Halloween goodies…
rocket lolly pops that look like ghosts;-)… have done about 120… haven’t quite decided whether to add black dots for eyes…
lately the ladybugs have been everywhere… the other day my youngest grandson counted 20 at the front door…
tonight one came to visit me… nice to have company throughout the day and evening, lol…
