earlier this week I had a bit of a meltdown…
it wasn’t until Wednesday that I realized the reason for the meltdown was my body getting ready for Friday…
would have been our 55th wedding anniversary… we only made it to 42 together…
it is hard to believe that 13 years have gone by since my beloved left me…

shhhhh… the snow is gone from the front yard…
and I finally took a few minutes to straighten up the rain barrel which had been blown over weeks ago from some of the crazy winds we’d been having…
now we are ready for some rain;-)… and plants popping up from the ground…

got a call from the florist Friday, advising they had a delivery for me…
not long after, the doorbell rang and a parcel was handed to me…
when I removed the packaging, I found a beautiful purple vase filled with flowers… what a treat…
they were from the kids in Ottawa… to celebrate my beloved… today will mark eleven years since he left us…
time has flown by and barely moved…
I am going to enjoy these beautiful flowers and take many, many, photos of them as I remember all the wonderful times we had together…
I have been, and continue to be, blessed…

this morning I was reminded of how beautiful hoarfrost can be… the pictures I came across were from eight years ago and showed the elm tree that lived across the street…
it was cut down a few years ago…
I took a photo to compare and was surprised at how much the cedar in our front yard has grown… the photo also shows the huge hole where the tree used to be…
I sure do miss the trees that have gone…

tomorrow marks 7 years since my beloved left this earth…
Google tells me that it is 2,555 days since that day…
I’ve been remembering some of the fun things we did during those last weeks…
you would think after seven years it would get easier…
but it doesn’t …
this is the last picture I took with him… it was Sunday, March 4, 2012… we had taken a drive around the Park so I could get some photos of the beautiful hoarfrost… this tree is on the drive to the Park… he had to stop in the middle of the road so that I could get the shot I wanted;-)…

this is a picture of the box my new phone came in…
good news is I got a new iPhone 7…
the bad news… I got the new phone because I believe my phone was stolen this afternoon… gone, right from my desk, sigh…
I discovered this about fifteen minutes before having to go into a three hour meeting…
thankfully my daughter was able to call MTS and have the phone locked and then sort out what I had to do to get a new one…
after the meeting I went to the mall where I spent about an hour with the MTS people and then another forty-five minutes at the Apple Store…
since I arrived home I’ve been working to replace everything on my phone…
here’s a lesson… back your phone up on a regular basis, sigh…
now to see when I last backed up to my computer…

looking out the window this morning the sky was overcast and the temperature had fallen… the warm weather has gone…
the remainder of the day wasn’t any better… one minute it would be pouring and the next just overcast…
had to run out and pick up a few things for our dinner for my daughter and her husband who celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary last Thursday…
got a picture of the tree that has lost all of its leaves…
we had steak, lobster, twice-stuffed potatoes, mushrooms and salad… and for dessert we made s’mores cooked on a fire pot in the dining room…
seemed like a busy day…
