happy to get a surprise visit and hugs from my two younger grandsons today when they stopped by for a few minutes on their way home from an event…

I think they’ve grown a few inches every time I see them;-)…

Tuesday and Wednesday we spent hours at The Leaf in Assiniboine Park…
things have grown and been added since I was last there…

there was mist rising from the ground and there are now three cacao trees…
it was very exciting to see them in flower and with pods on one…

Tuesday we were there in the morning and came across some school classes and quite a few other visitors… we had a delicious lunch at Gather and went back into the biomes for a last look before heading home…
on Wednesday we went in the evening… I had hoped the lights would be on but they weren’t until after we left, lol… there were few others in the space and ample opportunities to sit quietly and reflect on the beauty of nature…

thanks to a very knowledgeable volunteer, we found the sugar cane and the dinosaur trees…

we did enjoy dessert at Gather before a quick walk through the Diversity Gardens… one treat was sitting by a fire in the Indigenous Peoples Garden…

looking forward to another visit in a few weeks… cheers;-)…

late in the fall my grandson brought in a few of the plants…
one was the mandevilla… it had grown long and through some of the bench on the deck so was very messy when it came into the house…

I ignored it until the other day… took the time to cut it back and feed it… looking forward to watching it over the next few months…

also trimmed and fed the hibiscus and Japanese maple…
I am sure they all appreciated the attention… we will see how they all do…
nice to have greenery in the house… makes it feel summery…

came home sick this afternoon… my tummy is not happy… had a sleep and a tiny bit of supper which didn’t help at all…
spent some time with my BS friends which is always lovely… we talked about life and love and family… we were all here, with one on Skype… we are getting used to this way of meeting which does remind us of the few years that one of us lived in Minneapolis and we met by speaker phone…
realized this morning that the pond is still leaking… sent off an email with a couple of pictures and hope that it will be fixed before it needs to be emptied for the winter… I have now paid for the whole thing, so am a bit worried whether they will actually do something or not…
thinking of how I have grown over the last 18 months…
