the Audubon calendar for Friday and Saturday was a chickadee…
and yesterday a memory came up on Facebook of me feeding a chickadee in Mer Bleu three years ago while I was visiting…
I had hoped to train my chickadees to eat from my hand, but so far, no luck…
I did catch this little one dashing to and from the feeder, lol…

recently spent most of the day in the garden watching the comings and goings at the bird feeder…
my goal this summer is to teach the chickadees to eat from my hand…
starting by putting food out close to my chair and sitting fairly close to the feeder so they get used to me being there…
had a few conversations with the squirrels who kept coming to eat, but I encouraged them to leave… later, I noticed two at the feeder… making up for lost time I guess…
saw juncos, song sparrows, nuthatches, and finches, but no chickadees, lol…

as the weather is getting cooler (in what seems to be) daily, I’m enjoying some of the great benefits that Indi provides…
instead of turning up the heat, I just turn on the seat warmer… a toasty bottom makes all of me feel warm, lol…
and I love the warmer on my steering wheel… don’t need my little gloves just yet;-)…
although I wish the entire wheel was warmed…

found this photo on Facebook… happy that I get these reminders of wonderful memories…
it is from ten years ago and is one of the few pictures that I have of my beloved and I holding hands… it is lovely to see him and such a great reminder of a fun day…
one of the things I miss is having his hand to hold when out and about…
the beautiful trees after the snow this morning were another reminder…
brought back memories of the day before he died when we drove all around the Park so that I could get pictures of the trees covered in hoarfrost…
